Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Restaurant is very ‚gemütlich‘ and very nice located in Berlin Friedenau. The Service is very friendly and professional. There is a nice variety of Schnitzel, vegan versions as well. I personally like the atmosphere, but the portions are to big for me - my...opinion.More

Fantastic dinner with traditional Schnitzel. We were 7 and the restaurant was big enough and a wide enough menu for all to find something that they liked

OK, so this is totally the touristy thing to do but, hey! If you are going to do it, I’m glad we came here. A very warm welcome, and no sneering at us tourists; instead, a very warm welcome, very helpful in suggesting what to...have and the food was all delicious. A small beer (I don’t think it was beer but something like), was also a nice complimentary touch as we sat down and it appeared also to be a favourite with locals which is always a good sign! I thoroughly recommendMore

A real mystery how this restaurant can have such an impressive listing. We had the veal schnitzel, thinking this was what you had to have at this place, given the name and reviews, but it was honestly not very good - very greasy and dry...at the same time, and the few fried potatoes that had been tossed on the plate next to it were soft and almost uncooked. Atmosphere is definitely for families and not couples.More

We were a family by 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). We chose the restaurant for their Schnitzels and it really worth it . The restaurant proposes also some German Tapas with typical plates such as the well known curry wurst. Everything was great , so...the staff was . Very good choice of Schnitzels , they even propose vegetarian meals (and Schnitzel).More

Our first night in Germany, we ate at this restaurant, and we could not have started our trip off on a better foot. Our server, Dema, was super attentive and made the BEST recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. Highly...recommend!More

Schnitzelei in Berlin is a haven for schnitzel lovers, offering a dining experience centered around this classic German dish. They have three locations in Berlin, and we decided to go a bit outside central Berlin to visit the original one (Charlottenburg). The restaurant is cozy...and welcoming. The restaurant is also busy, and reservations are a must. The menu boasts an extensive selection of schnitzels with a variety of sauces and sides. We opted for the sample appetizer and two schnitzels. Portions are generous, and the food was delicious. The attentive and friendly staff provide excellent service, making Schnitzelei a top choice for those seeking a taste of traditional German cuisine in Berlin.More

They have several vegetarian options, but the options are overpriced and are too small. I ordered the Fränkischer Schnitzel and it was basically celeriac and some potato, nothing to actually get full. And you are still paying for it almost as much, as for a...non-vegetarian schnitzel.More

The best schnitzel I’ve ever had. The plates were generous and this was a perfect lunch to break up a day exploring Berlin. Fantastic service and I only wish we could have returned to try the long tray of German tapas.

Hands down, this was the best schnitzel that we had in Berlin. And that's after having schnitzel all over Germany and Austria for 30+ years. It was our first time at Schnitzelei, but it won't be our last! The host seated us promptly and sent...over a welcome drink to both of us. Then, Christian took great care of us for the rest of the evening. The Pumpkin Soup was excellent, and the schnitzel was a showstopper! The timing of the dishes was perfect as were the flavours and preparation! We are real schnitzel connoisseurs and this place delivered 100%! The restaurant and staff have a great vibe! Thank you and see you soon in Berlin! *****More

Let’s get straight to the point: it’s not the best Schnitzel in Berlin BUT it’s actually a lot of fun to spend an evening here. At the door we’ve been welcomed with a bright smile and they instantly offered us a drink for a smooth...arrival. I really enjoyed the visit and, to be honest, the bavarian-type Schnitzel, marinated with honey mustard and horseradish, was dar from being bad! 🤤 While there is delicious stuf on the menu, I still think the standard “plain” Schnitzel is not Berlin’s finest. 😁More

Hi David. You could walk it from your hotel - its only about 1.5km and a decent walk from there too. Probably take longer finding a taxi! Hope you get to eat there, fabulous place, great food and service. Nick
