Located in the very beautiful Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood you will find this great and atmospheric restaurant. The theme and food is Latin American. The service is great just as the food which is served in reasonable sizes at affordable prices. I would surely recommend this restaurant. We visited early April but I suppose that the outside serving would add to... More

We were here on a Saturday evening and got a table without a reservation. The service was friendly and the atmosphere in the place was nice. But the food was really passable.

We had dinner at Frida Kahlo, a plain Mexican restaurant at Prenzlauer Berg. The menu offers everything from Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas and Fajitas that is typically Tex-Mex. portions were big and the price was fair. I can recommend the fajitas, they were very good.

I ate there with my wife and two friends from the Netherlands. Drinks've been disappointed, my wife ordered a gin Collins and it was disgusting! The waitress was really nice and she said "yes sometimes we have problems with the bar ....?!? " Then the food arrived, the four of us were very hungry but nobody finished his dish, the... More

The food here is fine, we have eaten here on a previous visit, so would recommend it. We are veggies and it has a good range of options. The service is quick although a little brusque on the evening we were there; maybe having a bad hair day? Still recommend it though.

We ordered Chilli con carne & a bean & rice burrito. So delicious. The best chilli con carne we've ever had. Generous servings. Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff.

When you are sick of eating donor kebabs and schnitzel, Mexican food is a welcome change. Pretty good enchiladas and an average range of vegetarian choices. A good range of beers (both German and Mexican). Good service too!

This place served pretty good enchiladas and margaritas. Other menu items lacked quality, such as stale chips. There around 8 pm on weeknight. Moderate amount of customers and not enough staff.

The restaurant had better days. The brunch was very poor in choice and quality. No Mexican food but a mix of various dishes which seem really industrial food that one could buy in a discount. Cooking doesn't mean preheating the oven and putting inside precooked industrial food! Half of the small containers were empty when we arrived (2 and a... More

Sitting at this sidewalk cafe (indoors also available) on a sunny Saturday in April was bliss. Lovely service and delightfully creative breakfast options. Served with fresh fruit. Friendly, timely service.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
