No food, poor choice, cold. Leave it alone, 15 euro and a drink of coke was 4.50 euro. The food which was left had been sat around for ages, we didn't know what any of it was as it had no English translation so had to guess what things were. If you're English and use to sweet and sour or... More

Girlfriend and I welcomed a British friend staying not so far away....buffet dinner available at €14,80 p.p...but what to expect? Not disappointed - plenty of tasty goodies for soup, starters, main course and dessert, ranging from fresh sliced melon to a superb aubergine stew; crispy prawns to grilled duck. Service - friendly and attentive - ambience - great riverside location.

The place looks nice, thematic furniture and colors. The food wasn't impressive, but it was fine. The only thing that spoiled my experience there was the service. It looked like the waiters were in a bad mood already, and it only worsened during our lunch. Considering the fact that we ordered standard meals and didn't have any requests or complaints... More

After eating the stodgy and hearty German meals, I had to get Chinese food. Found this place having a great menu and the food was good. Can't compare it with Chinese food in China or else where but it was good. I did come back here to eat a second time. Wasn't disappointed.

Just visited this restaurant last week for a dinner, ordered a "duck with 8 delicious trimmings" along with a "shark fin soup". Whilst the first was eable, though not really authentically Chinese/spiced in taste, the shark fin soup was simply disgusting. Charging around 8 Euro for this brew is a pure scam and a big disappointment! Green tea not particularly... More

My teenage children really wanted a Chinese meal so we ate in the Ming Dynastie and were not disappointed;actually my oldest son said that it was his favourite meal of the trip! Very good service.Great choice of food and all very tasty.Definitely go hungry as the portions are very generous! Good value too.

Having traveled to places in Asia like Singapore one learns that very good prepared Chinese food can be so amazing and not have the same fatty MSG taste. This restaurant is luckily not crazy rich on these salts however it does all taste a little bit the same.

A dinner invitation by a supplier, so glad to find an authentic Chinese food in Berlin. It has to be authentic! Since it is right opposite the Chinese embassy, there is definitely no shortage of customer. Wonderful food, highly recommend.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
