Tasty food, cheerful wait staff and pleasant atmosphere (even if the seats outside were a bit unsteady)....no wonder RosaCaleta is always busy.

Superb food and great staff! Loved also the rum drinks which reminded me of my time in Jamaica. Love it! Almost a gem in Kreuzberg. Well done.

Stumbled across this restaurant and was intrigued by the Jamaican-European fusion concept, so stayed for dinner. We were not sure if we should seat ourselves as no waiters were around, so we sat at a table, but then were greeted promptly and given menus. Great cocktail selection and really tasty food - I had the sweet potato spätzle with jerk... More

This place is absolutely amazing! Literally one of the best plates of food I have eaten in all 31 countries I've visited. I ordered the jerk sampler which came with jerk chicken, jerk sausage and veggies. Simple but THE best veggies I have ever eaten. The jerk chicken is second to none. Lovely flavor combinations. I finished with the special... More

Received a recommendation to dine here while visiting Berlin - don't regret it a bit! Easy to reserve a table online (definitely recommend reserving as it filled up fast!), the waitress was super friendly and open for questions. The specials board was our personal favorite! Lots of drink options but not too many food items, like most Jamaican restaurants I've... More

Went here last night with my husband for a birthday treat on a weekend away in Berlin. It was packed and we were very pleased we had booked. I had the jerk chicken breast which was superb and he had one of the specials which was also excellent. One of the nicest things about this hidden gem was the ambiance... More

Great three course dinner with lots of love and flavour. The jerk chicken in fiery guava sauce was wonderful as was the sweet potato, mango, ginger and coriander soup. We will come back for sure.

Fantastic evening with friendly staff and great honest food. Kirk the owner was friendly and attentive and even went through each dish on the specials menu with every table. This allows you really choose what you want based on ingredients and heat. The only problem is...you then want to try them all!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
