One of the best fast food places in Berlin. And also recommended for the amazing and tasty desserts.

Famous for the butter according to our food tour guide, I have it say it was pretty tasty but so was the cheese and everything else we tasted. People were coming and going on a regular basis

I discovered this deli chain when I was walking in Friedrichstrasse. The food and pastries looked great, and many local people were ordering take away. Unfortunately, in the Friedrichstrasse store there are no sitting chairs so I gave up eating over there but I in the Lindner in Hackesche Hofe they have serving option so I gladly went there. The... Visited here on a food tour and got to try boulette which were fabulous. I'd go back for the boulette alone but I'd also like to try some of the amazing baking and salads on display.

We got our food from the Lidner deli opposite the Mandala Suites virtually every day during our 5 nights stay there. It had a large selection of Italian type of food e.g. bread, savoury dishes, sweets, cold meat and cheeses. We had sandwiches there for lunch once and bought other savoury dishes and sweets takeaway other times and all were... More

I love the variety that they have on offer. The food is more on the expensive side and you can't really eat inside, but it tastes good. The style of the bakery is very old-fashioned and has a nice turn of the century feel.

We stumbled upon Lindner purely by accident when we were going to the Hackesche Höfe. It was going to be a busy day of sightseeing so we popped in to grab a couple of sandwiches to go. The choice was fantastic; we bought two delicious veggie sandwiches. They were served in a large pitta like bun, one with feta and... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
