We had come to Brandenburg Gate in the evening to take some photos, and were looking for somewhere nearby to eat. Despite the name, this restaurant does mostly Punjabi food, which is a little different from the Bengali most commonly found in the UK. The service was really good. The food was tasty. We paid about 24 euros per head... More

Only tried Indian food a few times and this was probably my 3rd. Really good! Normal prices. Awesome happy hour deals for 4.50 I believe any kind of drinks! No wifi available. But had a good meal! Servers were friendly

A lot of vegetarian food, quick service, reasonably priced. Vegetable samosa were very tasty. The place is near Brandenburger Tor but not directly in the touristic area.

Possible to take away. Really nice service and very tasty food, 100% Indian flavour. I ate lamb Bangalora with curry and coconut sauce and garlic naan. For free the waiter also gave me an special spicy bread with 3 different sauces.

This place is a gem. Delicious food. We chatted with the staff and they prep the spices in custom blends every day. We had paneer...which they make onsite as well as a few other dishes and they were fantastic. It really hit the spot. We saw Indian families coming in with their kids to have dinner and I imagine this... More

Had a really unpleasant plate of food here on the lunch deal. The salad smelt off and the chicken was chewy and of poor quality. Overcooked rice. Unresponsive to feedback. My companion complained about it for days afterwards.

We had 3 dishes for lunch- 2 were excellent. The third contained shrimps which were dry, although the dish was spiced nicely. Loved the samosas. We found the meal here to be more expensive than other good meals we had in Berlin (approx. 12 Euro per dish at the cheaper end of the menu compared with approx. 8 Euro for... More

If you're a lover of Indian curries, Bombay Spice is probably not going to serve you the best curry you've ever had. However, they do serve up a pretty good curry (tasty although not particularly spicy) with excellent, friendly service, at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
