My husband and I ate here twice during a recent trip to Berlin. The cafe is in a lovely part of the city, close to the Sunday market at Mauerpark. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and had many gluten free options (unlike many of the other cafes). The coffee was the best we had in Berlin, especially the... More

A great place for super breakfast food. We weren't staying close to Krone however it was recommended to us therefore we made the trip and it was lovely! The orange juice is made fresh and the menu has almost too many tasty treats to choose from! I would recommend visiting to anyone in the area.

We visited Krone twice during our stay in Prenzlauer Berg, and both times the food and service was flawless. The waiters were super nice, helpful and smiling, and the food (breakfast) was fresh and tasty. It's a bit more expensive than many other places, but it's worth it!

My girlfriend absolutely loves this place. We have been at KRONE a few times and it was always a pleasant surprise. Besides amazing food, the interior of the restaurant is really nice. I definitely recommend this place. For sure we will be back.

We came in Sunday at 11 pm. The place was cramped so we had to wait around 20 min outside in the freezing cold. When we finally got in and ordered it was so worth the wait though!! Magic breakfast with fresh ingredients. Specially the freshly squeezed juices. We combined apple and ginger and it was nothing short of amazing.... More

Me and my husband were here for our anniversary , the breakfast was very nice The prices are fair for big breakfast You get bread and small salad with the eggs meal but it's kinda small you need to order cheese plate that was very generous , The coffee was also good . If you in the area jump for... More

Super comfortable sofa and chairs, great chai latte, which you can order vegan If you wish, and nice place to hang, write, or read a book. Great environment.

One of my favorite breakfast/ brunch locations with a modern menu and fantastic egg options. Great coffee and friendly service, super cosy inside in winter. The only real problem is trying to get a table during busy times, I have on occasion in summer waited 40 minutes and then experienced very slow service. Best to avoid peak times and plan... More

A colleague and I decided to take a break from the office and spend our morning at Café KRONE and we never regretted that choice. This was hands down one of the best - if not the best - breakfast experience in Berlin so far! The staff was great and really made you feel welcome and - in combination with... More

Came here because reasonable place with lots of breakfast items on the way to mauerpark. Contrary to what is the norm in Germany there is a please wait to be seated policy, something we overlooked, leading to the first run in with the service personnel who were a bit on the brusque side. Given it was Sunday and they probably... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
