There is a Starbucks located at 96 Friedrichstrasse below NH Collection and just outside the Friedrichstrasse Rail Station that opens at 6.30am daily, perfect for early risers and those wanting a lighter and cheaper option than the hotel breakfast. Being an early riser, I stopped by around 6.45am during our recent stay and had a typical (good) Starbucks espresso and... More

Nothing much to say here other than that this is another great Starbucks. Visited this site regularly while i was in Berlin and was always happy with the service.

Typical Starbucks. A few more things that I don't see in the States, but business as usual. Staff all speaks good English. Usual thing in a Starbucks where the employees spend a lot of time enjoying each other's company and ignoring customers. Coming from US, I was used to it.

Great cup of coffee as always but suggest you get it to go! Tables, floor and seating all need a good cleaning. Whole place needs a good refurbishment.

This is a typical Starbucks, but it is an atypical restaurant in Berlin ... because it has air conditioning. While in Berlin, it was 90+ degrees F and we where wilting in the heat. We could not find an air conditioned building or restaurant anywhere ... except at Starbucks. The coffee and food were fine, but the respite from the... More

We needed to come here to get Starbucks Germany cup to add to my wife's collection. Cappuccino was good and strong, staff were pleasant and service fast. Close to many Berlin sites.

We just popped in for a quick drink. No problems with the service: friendly and efficient. However, the male toilet was closed and the female toilet had a queue ---no I know how it feels! Also, some of the women felt that men shouldn't be using their toilet! Not good!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
