We wanted to eat some authentic German food and found this amazing restaurant very near Potsdam Platz. Huge selection of beers and a great menu. We were given a menu in English and waiting staff all spoke great English. This isn't fine dining but if you are looking for a great plate of authentic food then look no further.

Nice pub with 100 different beers, about 10 taps...0,5 l from tap about € 4,35...but bottle assortment is perfect!!! Lunch was mediocre, but pancake/crepes was really tasty. Service was good and atmosphere is relaxed. Smoking only outside.

The Mommsen-Eck is very beautiful (really traditional) but actually this is the only nice thing in this place. The blond waitress treated us REALLY bad (we couldnt have time to think about our main dishes - she said we had to decide everything together) and when my mother asked about more forks (there were not enough silverware), the waitress said... We looked for a restaurant with traditional german food and with this choice we were happy. Service good. English skills not so good but it was not an issue. Price good for value. The clientel of this restaurant was predominantly greyhaired. This was under no circumstances a bad thing it was just something I remember from the visit. I would... More

Mommens eck ( Haus der 100 biere ) is an absolutely fantastic restaurant and tavern that is just a joy to go to and is an institution in Berlin ,it's been serving contented customers since 1905 so it also has some serious history attached to it. The beer range is second to none in Berlin and the service is spot... More

Mommsen-Eck (Haus Der 100 Biere) is a fantastic pub and restaurant that is in an area of Berlin called Charlottenburg. This pub and restaurant first opened its doors in 1905 and is housed in a nice building by a Bayern-Brunnen which is a fountain from the era of Chancellor Bismark and Queen Victoria.Inside Mommsen-Eck has a very authentic multi-roomed interior with... Mommsen-Eck (the house of 100 beers) is a great little German restaurant and bar. The menu is vast and has loads fo translations on it so it's great if you don't speak the lingo. Staff are really knowledgeable of the beers on offer. Although the food was pretty slow to come out it was well worth the wait.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
