We really enjoyed our meal here. It's located up some steps and around the corner from the main road, so sort of hidden away with several other restaurants around a courtyard area, which looked great for outdoor dining. We had beers and dinner here. They didn't really tell us about their beers (I suppose we didn't ask) but we probably... More

I ate here recently with friends on a Saturday evening. The service was rather poor, the food menu was fairly short, and when the food arrived it was only lukewarm and portions were rather small by any standard, let alone compared to other places where we dined in Berlin. The beers brewed on-site were very good, but none of this... More

An enjoyable place for beers or a meal where the rest of the world goes by below. They make their own beers which are very good indeed. The staff know their stuff and interact well with customers. There is no feeling that you should be eating as well as enjoying a beer. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. It's not open... More

Well, it is quite simple: they have good food, which is prepared with care and decent beers to accompany them... What more do you want when going to a brewery? There was even live music by a guitar player and singer arranged by the venue.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
