We read a review and made a reservation for Friday night. Seems like a restaurant that people went for "date night" as some were rather dressed up but others were casual. Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Had escargot, 9 tomato plate and trout, entrecote and tried blood sausage (tastes like liver)... all food and wine was wonderful. Only 2... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. Intimate ambiance, fast and efficient service, exceptionally good food AND a very affordable price.

We were expecting a culinary experience, however were disappointed after having ordered an entrecot which was completely oversalted, and after having it returned to the kitchen, it came back Identical! After a second reclamation the restaurant was not prepred to accept its fault and even billed for the untouched 26 EUR dish!. Extremely embarrassing for a higher end bistro. cannot... More

Loved this little place. Found out about it from a magazine in our hotel room and decided to get out of the centre of Alexanderplatz for a change. A couple of tram stops and little walk and we were there. The restaurant has a great website that tells you the menu in German and in English, which was just as... More

Nice menu and beautiful quality. Lovely sidewalk situation for a long evening. Service was pleasant but understaffed.

Being french and loving wine I was shocked by the poor quality of food, cheese served too old and wine served 5°c too hot. Selection of wine is not impressive. Avoid

Situated in the cousy Environment of Prenzlauer Berg, just North of Alexanderplatz you find this small genuine french restaurant. The walls are full of wine bottles and there are a lot of french foodstuff for sale. The menu is authentic french when at its best. Nice snails, very good quaile and all the other dishes we tried were also absolutely... More

The main courses were great. The starters a touch bland/one dimensional. Great produce well cooked but missed the mark on flavour just a little bit. The Chablis was awesome.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
