Proof that simple is best. Fried chicken, potato salad, cool beer. Very reasonable and we managed to get a table without reservation on a weeknight. It clearly worked for JFK on his visit too...

An Berlin institution that is worth the visit for the ambiance, not to mention the chicken. We visited last Saturday night & despite a mix up with the booking (100% my fault) we ended up loving it. We waited about 15 mins for a table...More

Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
