Be very very aware of cancellation policy. I made an honest mistake of booking the wrong evening. We were so excited to dine and were eating at another place when we received a rude call asking where we were. I said I thought it was...for the next evening. They said no and I would be charged for 190 euros per person. We traveled from the US and did mess up but to be charged such a price is outrageous. We are staying in the hotel and cannot believe such a policy. A understand a charge but paying for a full dinner when they filled the table is absurd.,More

If you are a foodie and enjoy fine dining then do not miss an opportunity to dine here!! There are lots of little extras with your courses so be prepared for a little more than however many courses you choose. The food was sumptuous yet...also creative and playful. Wine pairings were unique and surprising (and the Sommelier was incredibly personable and knowledgable). Staff were friendly and attentive, and the view of Brandenburg Gate was absolutely stunning!! A truly unique and memorable dining experience that we will never forget!!More

Inside the Adlon Kempinski Hotel on mezzanine. New Chef Reto Branli just took over and hasn't missed a beat. There is offered a 6, 7 and 8 course tasting menu. We selected the 8 course and wine pairing. Each course not only visibly stunning, but...one excellent flavor after another. Innovative wine pairings that started with a saki and ended with Tokai and innovative wines in-between. Service was always attentive without being obtrusive. great interaction with chef who stopped by the table. affable not pretentious at all.More

Had the special menu and paid a lot for it but the experience was underwhelming. Food was verry good, but not impressive enough for a special menu at a 2-star michelin restaurant . Service was quite stiff, I tried to ask questions to one staff...and he just answered short and turned away. Generally was a rather underwhelming experience. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.More

Situated on the 1st floor it can be a bit tricky to find, if you don't know the Hotel Adlon. My friend and i were sitting in the elegant fireplace room. There were 5 tables in total. If you prefer total silence, this might not...be your place. Still you have a cozy Atmosphere. The same can be said about the waiters. They make a grand service and are very knowledgeable. If you are of the type preferring that the waiter only is in the background, this might not be your place. Still they have a professional attitude, which some waiters at Michelin stared restaurants in Denmark could learn from. The food is amazing. At our 10 servings, 5 were fish. My friend fell in love with the trout. The best fish he ever had tasted. It was slightly smoked and came and came with an glassed carrot. Personally i preferred the tuna - the meat still had a bite, and the sauce had an Asian explosion of different tasts. The same could be said about the pork belly with wasabi, which was amazing. The food was classy of a very high standard, which i liked a lot. So i will returnMore

We had a (round) birthday dinner at the Esszimmer. While booking I asked for a table with a view of the Brandenburg Gate and they made this happen, and decorated the table with yellow rose petals. Very nice gesture. All of the staff was competent...and friendly. The food was to die for. We chose 8 courses out of 10, which was too much food for us, even though each course is small. Next time we would go for 6 or 7 courses. With Amuse gueles (yes plural, a course for itself) and the sweets with the coffee we ended up with 10 courses. The next morning at 10.00 am we were still quite full. The presentation of the food is amazing, each course a delightful picture, not just a picture but also full of flavours. Our favorite was the Pork Belly - yes, unbelievable, not fat at all, but melting in your mouth. Wine selection pricey but excellent, what you would expect in a 2 Star Michelin restaurant. Overall a perfect experience. Hope to come back again, when we are next in Berlin.More

The restaurant has two stars but maybe should have three. The new menu where you can choose 6 to 10 courses is magical and you do not have to eat the same as your companion. Add the wine pairings and it is delightful, the sommelier...is very special and informative. It is pricey so save up and enjoy.More

My Husband and I were staying in the Adlon Kempinksi, so we thought we just had to try the two Michelin star, on-site restaurant. We booked a couple of weeks in advance and managed to get a reservation on our first evening – however this...seemed to be a bit of a luck as most dates were unavailable around this time, so I’d advise to book in advance. The food is exceptional. I think this is the fourth Michelin starred restaurant I have eaten in, and I think it was the best. The surroundings are old fashioned, but classy and elegant. Very quiet, but the dining room looks out over the Brandenburg Gate – what a setting! When we arrived, we were served 3 canapes which were delicious. One of them was eel, and I am not a fan at all, but here it was amazing. We were then offered a choice of two tasting menus which I thought was a very nice touch. We chose one (can’t remember which) and opted to go for the 6 courses which was the least you could do. I 100% think 6 courses is sufficient (and we have big appetites!) because you get your 3 canapes, your 6 courses, a sorbet palate cleanser, a mini cheese dish before the cheese plate, and then after dessert when you think you’re well and truly done they bring out petit fours! Four of them to be precise!!!!!!!!! I can’t remember every course we ate but I remember having a raw fish to start, a seabass after that in a beautifully buttery sauce, with some pernod “caviar” (so good – this was perhaps my favourite course), an Asian inspired pork belly, a duck, a chocolatey dessert… The only dish I was not keen on was the potato dish. This was like a potato salad and I just don’t personally like potato salad as I don’t like mayonnaise. Nothing wrong with this dish I’m sure, it was just down to personal preference. As mentioned above after dessert they brought out the most fancy petit fours I’ve ever seen! I won’t spoil the surprise for anyone going but it was really impressive. But by gosh it was a struggle to eat them all after all the food we had already consumed! To go with the meal we opted to have the wine flight which was also very good. The Sommelier was excellent – knowledgeable and friendly and just a little quirky! I do enjoy a wine flight as it allows you to taste wines you’d never normally order or get to try. I’d definitely recommend doing this. Service from the other wait staff was also excellent, everyone was friendly but professional, without being overbearing or stuffy. OK the price. YIKES. This was far and above the priciest meal we have ever experienced. The bill did take us by surprise however, you’re not just paying for the amazing food; you’re in a top class hotel, excellent service, and the location is stunning. Is it worth it? I’m very glad we did it and if you’re prepared for the price tag in advance then I’d say yes as it’s a very special experience.More

The Lorenz Aldon is a Michelin 2-Star restaurant. The service is good, if a bit slow between courses. We had the six-course menu. Everything was acceptable, well plated and served. However, there was nothing among the six courses which I would call memorable. Dinner for...two, with two glasses of indistinct red including gratuity was $600. We dined at Borchardt the following night. Much better flavors, good service and a lovely atmosphere ... overall, far superior for my taste at a fraction of the cost. I doubt we'll give Lorenz Aldon a second chance.More

We were fortunate enough to be invited to a meal at the Lorenz restaurant at a business event. Every course on the tasting menu seemed to have a surprise element.... all of which were fantastic! It’s obvious how well-deserved the ‘two stars’ are. The wine...list is extensive and the attentive service rounds off the experience. Add to that, the beautiful nighttime view of the Brandenburg Gate; you have a truly amazing experience. It will be some time before we have a better meal.More

We stumbled upon the restaurant after a morning walk from one end of Tiergarten to the Brandenburg gate and were lucky to get a table for lunch without a reservation. Service, impeccable; decor, gorgeous; food, really tremendous. It was asparagus week, and with some hesitation,...we had the asparagus dessert. We want to take extra servings home with us. Obviously, not "cheap eats," but we thought worth every Euro. Romantic and not overly formal. We'd love to go back.More

The chef Hendrik Otto has excellent taste buds, and he generates some of the most wonderfully tasty and visually pleasing dishes. The ambience is designed with very good taste, which blends into the classical environment of Hotel Adlon with a hint of humor. We ordered...one larger and one smaller set menus. All the dishes were good. We were most impressed by the clever use of the in-season white asparagus: tofu-like white asparagus puree covered with very thin asparagus slices. The service staff were also very professional and did excellent good job.More
