Beatiful old fashined style that makes you feel warm and comfortable. Delicious food, very tasteful and well prepared. Worth a visit.

Cannot recommend highly the food service and ambience in this restaurant. We booked in advance after not able to eat there in our visit to Berlin last year and we were not disappointed after reading the Trip Advisor reviews in the past. I had three courses and my wife had two courses - I had a pre meal drink, and... More

We ate here on our first night in Berlin in February and enjoyed the huge portions of hearty homemade food washed down with German beer. We opted for crispy duck and the pork knuckle on the specials menu which were both very good. We also shared a dessert which was nice too. The set up is a bit strange, when... More

We wanted traditional German food and that is exactly what they do here brilliantly. The food was excellent. the staff are outstanding and the owner was delightful. I couldn't recommend it more!

Went here as very highly so-called rated. But the place we experienced was the one with the 'terrible' one star ratings. That there were no native Berliners should give it away. Some of the worst food I have paid for outside of the UK. Warmed up precooked duck - warmed up Lamb. Our seat by a locked door to the... More

Now, a place where the owner comes to receive you at the table, treat you amazingly, works a lot and the food is superb, well, what to say? The place is beautiful, and when you enter the smell of history is in the air. Cozy experience. Confort food, home made and treat in a way that makes you float. Ps:... More

Visiting Berlin for the first time just before Christmas we wanted to dine in a traditional restaurant on our first night and wow we really did pick the best possible place! I called ot book and it was actually full but the owner said we could sit at the bar if that was okay, it turned out to be much... More

Very nice people, you feel welcome. Food is really good and typical. The wine list is short but the German wine was a very good quality price ratio. Overall an address to recommend, not only for tourists.

What wonderful staff work here! Everyone was so lovely we were delighted! The German beer is also delicious! The food is a little on the rich side for me, very creamy/potato or dumpling based but that's German cuisine I guess. We also loved the atmosphere and the interesting photographs. Good ambience and a real variety of customers in here. We... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
