I would advise booking this restaurant to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table. Tucked away on Mommenstrasse, this restaurant is amazing. The food is wonderful but beware the portion sizes are large. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The owner ensures that her guests are satisifed and this is a definate return venue.

This is a lovely restaurant, great staff who give good suggestions about the menu. The beer is very good as you would expect. The portions are very generous so arrive with a good appetite. The goose is delicious so worth trying. I advise you to book in advance. Dress code is smart casual.

We booked this restaurant after doing some research before we went to Berlin. You will need to book if you want to dine here. We went out on our first night in Berlin and were not disappointing. Its a quirky place a bit like travelling back in time but that adds to the atmosphere. Its family run and if you... More

Everything is perfect : Ramona, the owner, is friendly and has hundreds of stories to tell (in many languages), the atmosphere is authentic and warm, the food is excellent... It was raining outside, I would have stayed in taht nest, that cocoon for hours and hours.

Went here as it was very highly rated but I'm not sure how! Everything seemed to come from frozen, the food was tasteless and the potato cakes soggy. I'd suggest looking elsewhere

We wanted a traditional German meal that was cosy and a welcome break from the cold. Despite being busy and fully booked the hostess (Carole) let us in. The restaurant itself is located on a quiet street and looks homely and understated from the outside. As soon as you step in and go through Narnia like curtains (to keep the... More

My husband and me were in the restaurant and we don't have a reservation, we ask and they take us but we was advised that only for two hours our table is available, for me was plenty time for a dinner but the people at the restaurant was so rude than make us feel not welcome at all, we ordered... We were lucky to get a table as I had found on Trip Advisor and even early on a Thursday it was very busy! The food - beef fillet and pepper sauce was delicious, staff friendly and most welcoming and the ambiance was great!

We had an authentic superb German dinner for two, East Prussian style. Starting with delicious topfsulze and potato cream soup, schweinefilet (filet of pork) with pfifferlingen (mushrum) and kalbsleber (liver) "Berliner art" as main courses, and for dessert we shared a dish of grossmutters griesflammerie (ice cream in wine-cooked dry plums). The dishes were fresh, cooked with love and attention... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
