Crunch Kantine is an all day vegetarian buffet(100% vegetarian, 90% vegan), everything cooked daily with love from freshest ingredients from Berlin's best food market across the street! Our philosophy on vegetarian cooking is that "we hope that meat eaters will not notice that there is NO meat", ! We serve at least 16 dishes on the buffet each day with 90% of them vegan, 100% vegetarian. Soup, Buffet and Salad,eat as much as you need €12.50euros or 1 plate €7.80 Desserts made to order. I can't recommend this place enough. Every time I went I left extremely satisfied. The food is incredible, most of it is plant-based and the prices are super fair.
The owner, who runs this as a one-man-business, is friendly but not obtrusive. You can even have a chat with him if you both feel like it. My impression was that he's a very genuine person that I didn't mind being around, even as an introvert.
If you're thinking about going, let me tell you: it's 100% worth making the trip to this corner of Moabit!

Nice small restaurant with amazing food for a very low price.
There are a lot of vegetarian dishes.

It is a very bad restaurant. I highly not recommend:
1.) The food is not delicious at all. Below average standard.
2.) The food is poorly cooked or over cooked.
3.) The quality of some food is not good.
4.) The restaurant is not too clean overall.
5.) The smell inside the restaurant is not so good.
6.) There is no privacy in this resturant. The owner will try to overhear everything you share with your friend. The owner is weird and is tramatized. I feel very sorry for him that he is easily triggered.

Dear Hui Pin, I found your visits to Crunch Kantine disturbing sir. You eat like a pig and you are beyond weird. You came 4 times to Crunch Kantine to test the absolute limits of my boundsaries until your last visit when I took advice from the other guests present and asked you at the door not to return to Crunch Kantine. Your response made it clear that this is not the first time this has happened. You have spent months now attacking my business on multiple platforms writing lies. I suggest that it is you who is you who is traumatised my dear. Crunch is a Kantine not a Cuntine. I do question whatever kind of therapy business that you are running. I spoke to your last dining guest as he left before you did, and he disassociated himself from you. Please leave my business and me alone and work on yourself instead. I wish you peace and love and hope that to achieve that you stop attacking my business which is run from the heart with love. You might do well to examine your ego next time you walk into a room and try to get its attention;)

The British employee at this place greeted me with an unexpected display of passive-aggressiveness, micro-aggressions, classism, and hostility. His comments were often mansplaining and patronizing; for instance, he said, "With that jacket, you look like a hobo."

Wrong restaurant, Wrong time, Wrong owner.
Sorry you did not enjoy your visit, but I guess you enjoyed the food you took away which the Irish owner served to you! I try to connect with my guests, and I wasnt really connecting with you, yes that expensive jacket was immitating a hobo look, Even light humor didnt work on you. Sorry!

Stepped by this place together with the familiy today. In a tiny but very cozy restaurant they are offering different vegan/vegetarian food at nearly no costs. Paying € 8,50 per person you can eat all you want (only cakes and desserts are not included). The friendly owner cooks and serves himselv, offering a number of dishes, that are changing from day to day. We really loved this place and recommend it highly to you. Note: It's closed on manday and tuesday

Excellent vegetarian food, but the tarte tatin was my highlight. The thing is that you start with salads and they taste so unique, that you ask yourself could it get better? but it does. The main dishes are equally good and my favorite was spinach. we will come many times again to have further savorous surprises.
well done, great job! maybe the restaurant is at the wrong side of Berlin, i guess Prenzlauer Berg could be better as location, at least closer to us :)
As vegetarian lovers we support this kind of efforts, by taking small portions and enjoying every one. giving a good tip. Join the club!

Popped in on a Wednesday early evening to this lovely restaurant with a vegan / veggie focus. Welcomed by the hosts who spoke excellent English and explained the menu provided in a buffet style. Extremely reasonable prices but the food was also so filling and tasty. Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend to anyone in the area.

just moved to Moabit this week. went here today for lunch. didn't even know it's a vegan restaurant. it's absolutely fantastic, even though I'm not vegan. and for that price ... go there!

I have visited crunch kantine with a French friend for lunch. Its a vegetarian buffet. Very tasty. Salads and cooked food. Eat as much as you want. Michael the owner and chef is very friendly. A great person with a talent fot cooking and conversation. Highly recommended for lovers of vegetarian food and lovers of nice persons.

We ate here on a recent trip to Berlin. It's a small place (as we found out most vegan type restaurants are in Europe!). The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about his cooking and the foods he offers and interesting to ask questions to. There was a lot of variety in the lunch buffet, and the price was reasonable. He squeezes fresh juices as soon as you order. Highly recommended, and we would definitely go back!

I can't think of any way to describe this restaurant other than outstanding -- their food is delicious and (as a bonus) it's all vegan/vegetarian. I live and work nearby, so my family/coworkers and I frequent for lunch and dinner. The buffet changes over time, so there's always some variety. The Desserts (especially tarte tatin) are also excellent. I'm so glad Crunch Kantine is in my neighborhood!
