Hard to tell if the hosts were extremely sarcastic and this was one of those "insult the guests" restaurants or just a couple of sad unhappy characters! On arrival we were told the wait was 45 minutes even though there were about six people in...More

Radkes Gashaus was recommended by the hotel we were staying in (Ivbergs Premier) as a place for good meat loving German food. It does do lots of meat dishes but I wouldn't say it was particularly excellent German food, although our dishes were good. We...More

A great german anthrosphere, excellent beers and local main berlin prices (£4:00 a pint). Yes it is true you may well get a bit of stick but dish it back and all is forgiven - got chatting to the locals and the place has a...More

Terrifying experience. The rudest service in berlin. Don't walk to you own table or else you take your life in your own hands. Too scared to order food, almost impossible to get attention or service event thought was empty. The sign about service is accurate.

For once the looks don't fail, the bar is exactly what you see is what you get. The service attitude seemed a bit tired at first, but once we started talking about the Berlin wall, the waiter/owner sort of woke up and turned out to...More

Had a great laugh with mein hosts Peter and his wife. We all got shouted at some stage. Asked for the wifi code - NEIN. We do beer and food. Haha. Had goulash soup and it was brilliant. Couples coming in after us were told...More

First night in Germany, a bit jet-lagged but hungry. Just off a side street near KaDeWe and the Gedachtnis Kirche, we stumbled in. The host was an ebullient, friendly jokester. The menu was pretty much what you will see in most German pubs-wursts, eisbein, schnitzel-plus...More
