Good local bar with nice beer. Not that cheap but interesting old newspapers on the wall as you go to the toilet.

3,30 for an espresso. Not even in Paris I have paid that much. The service is poor, the owner is unfriendly and arrogant. Go somewhere else

Already after first meeting with waiter (older man) everything went wrong. First we thought rude and arrogant behavior was supposed to be joke but quite soon realized we were in situation where everything we asked or tried to order was either somehow "wrong" or not available. In menu there was plenty of choices and not mentioned if something was not... More

Our group have people of six. We decided to go to a traditional German restaurant in the working distance from hotel. Hotel clerk recommended Radke’s. The food was nice but the owner was not that friendly to non-German speaking guests like us….

From the outside it looks cosy and traditional. Once inside you are ordered to stay in the front part, the bar area even if you want to have lunch. A beer and a mineral water are delivered quickly by a nice, young and friendly waitress. If you want to order lunch, the old DDR atmosphere shows up. I suppose the... More

We picked this place as our first stop in Berlin after lengthy air travel. Wish we hadn't! The gentleman that approached us was pleasant enough as he recommended local beer, this was fine and refreshing but it all went downhill from there. The food was bland, expensive for what we had and as for the customer service; appalling. The waitress... More

We walked past a hotel and ask for a recommendation of a local restaurant and they pointed us to this. Atmosphere looked ok and had a few people drinking beer so we sat down. However the food was terrible. Waitress recommended us to have the pork knuckle and some kind of a stew (can't even recall now) and both my... More

The restaurant is near to the Brandenburgen Tor. But waiters delivered such a bad service. We haven't finished our meal but the waiter have already put the sign "reserved". They don't understand english. If you want to get the weird and bad experience, you are welcome to be there.

This is the restaurant that I walked to when I visited the Ku'damm area for the first time. A small, quaint place with good food and ambiance. I've returned almost every trip since -- at least to sit in the window and have a beer!

By reading the other bad reviews, I wonder why I should bother writing another bad review. We were a party of five. When we entered, the first question from the manager was: "What do you want here?. I told him we wanted to eat and he showed us to a table in the back. His attitude as well as the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
