Not bad if you want to stuff yourself at Sunday brunch. Food is just ok, but it's all you can eat for cheap. Outside and inside are both nice spaces.

Doesn´t matter if on week days or during the weekend, this is one of the best places to go for a brunch in Berlin. For the price of 5 Euro (Sundy price is 9 Euro) you can get almost anything you can imagine from different kinds of pastry, wide range of pickled stuff (olives, wine leaves, dried tomatoes, filled peppers... It takes forever until a waitress comes to take your order. If you are patient enough and actually get lunch or dinner, the food is ok for its price.

I went different times with guests to have brunch there on Sunday. With a reasonable price (7 euros about for the brunch, 3.90 euros abour for breakfast) you can have a very good brunch, with a very large choice. Drinks are not included, unfortunately. But the possibility to stay inside or have a sit outside permits you to enjoy the... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
