I love the vibe in this cafe. It feels trendy, local but most importantly it never disappoints - the food has always been good.

Cool place in four stories. Restaurant and bar above the bookshop. Very "arty" place with good food just by the Alster. Well worth a visit

We were a group of 3 and had the Astrid Lindgren and Mark Twain themed breakfast. Incredible! Everything was delicious and we spent 2,5 hours there and enjoyed the elegant interior. Highly recommend.

I have visited the café for a tea break. The place is very nice and the staff very friendly. The food (just tea and cake) was very nice and tasted very well.

After a day of walking around Hamburg we weren't sure what would find open on a Sunday. What an incredible surprise was the Literaturhauscafe. Incredible setting in this old mansion, thoughtfully prepared food and great wines. This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel the Hotle Alsterblick.

What a beautiful room for a meal, great place for a coffee or tea. BUT, dont bother having dinner. €22 euro for 2 tiny pieces of schnitzel and roloude was dry overcooked meat and not even enough sauce to make it edible. The staff was nice but we will not be back. Oh, I forgot when I went to pay thru... More

We were there for menu dining. Each single plate was excellent and each of the wines was a perfect suite. The waiters were attentive, the overall atmosphere fine.

We visited Literaturhaus for breakfast. The setting is stunning! We opted for the Astrid Lindgren breakfast as it is the most varied one and I do suggest you do the same especially if you are hungry. It includes a Prosecco or orange juice. You will have to pay extra for coffee or tea which is a disappointment. We enjoyed the... More

My partner and I went on a late morning Sunday. The restaurant was packed by locals. The decor was beautiful, the service was a bit cold but very efficient. Our Salmon tartar was exceptional.
