Was a bit disappointed because the menu and taste seemed to be altered to accommodate Europeans. Missed that Durban Indian feel, but was edible and nice, on a hip and happening street too! We sat on a table outside and really relaxed....

If you want good indian food in a cozy, relaxing and well managed ambient, this restaurant is what you are looking for. Don't forget to enjoy it with a great group of friends!
I think the food, service, settings and atmosphere were perfect. at the end you would want to know if you'd come back, the answer for me was a definite yes.
Punjab Tandoori has been very close to my heart. The owner and the chef are very friendly. For Indians, they specially make it spicy and much more tastier. They have tandoor so the Nan is very good. They provide green salad free with any vegetable/biryani...you order, which no other Indian restaurant does. The location is also very good. It is 5 minutes walk from Marienstrasse U-bahn station.More
Indian food outside India is usually a very poor imitation of the real deal. Punjab Tandoori is the rare exception! The food tastes exactly like it should (trust me, I’m Indian). The chef and owner are both gracious hosts and will go out of their...way to meet any requests you might have. The decor is pleasant and the food exceptional! My German girlfriend loves the place too and can always be talked into hopping over for a meal. They are always very careful to spice the food depending on the person ordering it. I strongly recommend the kadhai paneer and the saag aloo.More
First point if you are going by car, parking is very hard to find would recommend a Taxi. First impression is it very clean with comfortable seating. We were 5 people at a table for 6. We started with plate of mixed dishes flowed by...a selection of mains all were very good for me the Murg Tika Masala and the Jhinga Masala were excellent. Wine from India and Kingfisher Beer. Service with a smile and it was a very relaxing occasion. Being a Saturday evening I could see that you need to book ahead to be sure of a table. Mains from E10 to E18 so for two people with some drinks say around E50 to E60.More
