Came across this place by chance on a cold Düsseldorf evening and was pleasantly surprised by the tasty food and good service. The noodles are made fresh to order as far as I could see and the tempura prawns are delicious. Lots of choice and well worth a visit

Very fresh home made noodles. You van see the noodles being made because of a window to the kitchen in the restaurant. Very light authentic food prepared Well. Good vegetarian options. I really loved the tempura. Very friendly staff.

I went to this place with a friend who just returned from an asia trip and was craving japanese food. We found this place and were not very satisfied with it. We just did not find it that tasty there. We ordered different soba dishes. Service was good- but food was a bit below average.

Soba An was the highlight of our trip to Düsseldorf. The soba is so good we ate there twice…and we were only in town for two days! The soba is handmade onsite and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is very small – maybe 25 seats – and hours are limited, so either make a reservation or prepare to get there... More

I have been to Soba An many times in the meanwhile as it belongs to my favorite restaurants in Dusseldorf. The speciality in this restaurant are the Soba dishes and I recommend you to taste it as you will not find it in many restaurants in Germany! Their soba is also self made and you can see the soba master... More

High quality japanese food in a cozy but easy restaurant where most of the customers are Japanese... And you will finally learn that is not all about sushi! Delicious starters and amazing Soba dishes. Try Japanese beer as well. Come back soon!

I had a dinner with my friend. I had smoked duck and shrimp tempura etc., and the tastes were fair. I also had Soba with Duck (Kamo-Namban Soba) at the last meal, but the tastes were fair as well. I did not feel any outstanding in this restaurant. Opposite to my above evaluations, the restaurant had been full of the... More

I really love this place. My partner and I had lunch: both hot noodles with tempura. And I must say, although it looks a bit plain, flavours were pure. While eating you can see how the chef is making the noodles from scratch. Next time I will definitely try the cold one with eggplant!

They offer a lunch menu at reasonable prices. Soba is fresh and you can see how they made it just next to your seat. I selected tempura and I like it! The restaurant is so small so we booked it in advance. However, if you want to go there on the weekend please bare in mind that you should book... More

You know that you're in a good Japanese restaurant when you see a restaurant full of Japanese people, and that's what you find at Soba An (it may have changed recently because the deliciousness of this secret gem is starting to spread). I'm not sure why everyone stands on line for so long at Naniwa when Soba An is only... More
