Can I start by saying "AWESOME" and thank you. The gentleman at service, was knowledgeable and courteous. Food was very well prepared and he explained the details courteously. The feeling was a bit of being a king. Highly recommend for food, service and ambience.

We were so pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. It is a moderately sized, pretty-looking, well decorated place which is not too crowded. The atmosphere is very peaceful. The service was impeccable. The person serving there was very hospitable surprising us with a delicious set of...More

The Kucci teller had meat, rice and soya sauce vegetables. Soya sauce veggies in Afghani food??... We bought a 5-course menu voucher after reading good reviews. The meal started with some bread served with mint sauce, chicken broth and some vegetables which was okay. The...More

The place is very simple still elegant and comfortable, indeed very nice. About the food, I don't know how close this comes to "real" afghan food, but it was all very good, with quality ingredients and carefully prepared. It started with a complimentary starter with...More

This place is quite unique, as you don't get many Afghanistan restaurants. It's very similar to punjabi (Indian) food but less spice and you can taste more herbs and flavours. The service was fantastic and they really did look after us. I would come here....More

It was well worth the time it took us to find it! Although it's quite a ways outside of the city centre, it doesn't take long to get there by tram from the main station, as long as you don't go the way we did....More

Description
Kucci The Bloomy Side of Afghan Lifestyle Welcome to Kucci. It is nice to meet you here. With our Dishes we will take you into the world of the Silk Road. The Silk Road, the Web of the past centuries. This Road connected the Mediterranean with Middle and East Asian Cultures by the overland routes. Just as Traders, scholars and soldiers with their goods, ideas, cultures and religions. So not least seasonings and Dishes reached from Orient to Occident and the other way around. The Afghan culture and cuisine have been characterized over centuries by the Silk Road. In the following two examples: Borani? - A beautiful royal name for a little starter. It was invented for the Queen Boran by her cooks. She loved the synergy of the aromas of yogurt, seasonings, vegetables and dough. Shami? - It was also called Syrian Kebab. The word 'shaam' means evening and is notably consumed as a snack in the evenings and in outdoor picnics. The Shami kebab was invented by a toothless Nawab of Lucknow. The Nawab was supposedly so fat that he could not ride a horse and had lost all his teeth. He invented a kebab made only of mincemeat which he was able to eat without the benefit of teeth. Delicious meat balls with fascinating condiment, depending on its origin made of beef, mutton or lamb. The Age of the Mogul Monarchs ended long time ago. But the 'shaami' still dominate the menus in those countries - or as a snack or as a starter.
