Popped in here for a bit of beer and for a break from walking. The beer is delicious, unfortunately I just ate a big lunch; otherwise I would have ordered food as it all looked good. They have menus in English.

I last visited this brewery in the 90's and the beer was the best in Dusseldorf but sadly this is now one of the worst. Beer tastes horrible and smelt really bad. Won't be going back which is a shame. Sorry to see a good brewery deteriorate so badly. Waiters are rude and arrogant and do want to serve the... More

A traditional setting offering a good range of German dishes. The beer is excellent and is brewed on site. Seating on long benches gives a great vibe, and it was almost at full capacity on a Tuesday evening. The portion sizes are pretty large so you certainly won't be leaving feeling hungry. A main course with a couple of beers... More

This place is a MUST GO ! The place looks wonderful, so typical, the service is great, they're friendly, fun and super professional. The food is amazing, you probably won't manage to finish your dish : the quantities are huge :) And the "alt bier" brewed there is super tasty, cheap and you'll drink it like water !

I went there for lunch and decided on the Schweinehaxe (roast knuckle of pork) It was a massive piece of meat cooked so that it virtually fell from the bone, and the crackling was beautifully crisp. It was a bit of a struggle to eat it all, but I succeeded. The Altbier with which I washed it down was excellent... More

I wish we could go there evey day, lunch and dinner to be able to try everything on their menu. We tried the schnitzel and it was extraordinary good. An absolutely gorgeous old style German restaurant. It was sooo lively inside there. People were packed but it was comfortable and friendly. The house beer and drinks were great.

Im Fuchshen is an old fashioned brew house. Only 1 beer so dont ask for anything else seating on bench seats at long tables so expect to share the experience. However this is real German food no excuses for tourists and the waiting staff are fabulous. A must visit at any time of the year but gets very very busy... More

This is a great place to eat - especially if you are hungry!! The food is typical German food and very tasty, the beer is good and the portions are very generous. As soon as your beer glass is empty, the waiter will deliver a replacement unless you put a beer mat on top of your current glass!

Visited this on a Saturday evening whilst touring the Christmas markets. The place was packed and we got a table with a short wait, albeit it was too early 6 pm ish. The beer is lovely, the ambiance is classic, the food is rustic and nice.. service excellent and it could be everyone's local pub if you were indeed local... More

A Saturday night before Christmas and it was very busy. Nice communal atmosphere with all types and ages enjoying themselves. The food was typical and lovely. A few things to bear in mind.... ....sharing tables is common and part of the experience. ....service is efficient and matter of fact; your waiter is unlikely to have time to talk you through...
