Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Scandalous. It was a busy time indeed, we went in around 14:00 for coffee and dessert. There was a table free, we asked if we could sit. The waiter looked at us and said no. The couple of older ladies behind us asked if they...could sit, and the waiter told them yes of course… no hospitality whatsoever. There is no excuse to treat people like this! I put one star because I was forced to.More

I very much enjoyed this dinner. I had an eifeler (deer) ragout with a draft Bit. The venison came with spatzle, applesauce, and a pear/cranberry combination. In our group of five we also had a vegetarian plate, salmon and rigatoni (2), and a pork steak....All of these were tasty. The server didn't get too impatient as we translated the menu and went all the choices. Thanks for that. This establishment liked to go in some different directions, as in addition to the venison, they had a Roman meal (Trier was a big Roman center)----but we'll try that in Italy. About 100 for five (only me drinking). Bon appetit!More

Real German atmosphere in this restaurant based opposite the Christmas market. With a very budget friendly price setting it offers you huge portions of average quality of food.

A nice and central place for lunch or dinner. The food wasn't anything out of the ordinary but was tasty (also veggie options on the menu) and fresh. The Roman plate was a bit pricey for what it was :/

The wienerschnitzel was without doubt factory made and frosen before being cooked without any butter and therefore tasted awful.

Flexible and friendly service. Decent food (traditional German menu choices) but I was expecting a little better based on the rating. I enjoyed the local red wine.

Located on the main square its easy to find and has a view of the Square. The interior is classic and very nice. I had the beef tips in red wine sauce with what appeared to be hash browns. In addition to the wide food...selection they also have quite a wine list. Hence, i had a goldtripchen from the mosel. Everything was great.More

We did not have any food so I do not know if that is any good. But for a glas of riesling on a warm summer afternoon this is a very good address. The location just outside the Dom is top. We tried a wine...tasting with 3 types of riesling in small glasses, very good idea. Fast and friendly service, and fair price. Is it a tourist trap? Maybe, maybe not. You will anyway enjoy watching people and resting your feet without getting ripped off.More

Been here for a dinner with my wife, usually the place is full but now we found a table, the service was bad because one of the ladys working there was upset... but come on you should not make the clients feel bad and at...least smile a bit.More

Large restaurant with several different spots to eat. We sat on the side of the square with the big fountain. Nice dinner with schnitzel and pasta, good wine and beer. Price affordable, service quick
