Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ordered two different kind of gnocchis (Gorgonzola and Caprese) and both were of poor taste and quality. Considering the rating from Trip Advisor and Google we were definitely not expecting that.More

Sorry, it‘s first time we hear that. People love our Gnocchis, we sell very much. We never heard poor taste, we use best quality grogonzola and mozzarella from „Galbani“, people love our house-made tasty and fruity tomato sauce and we use best quality Gnocchi. So...More

This was once a good restaurant. Today it wasn't. We had pizza which was precooked and a version of saltimbocca a la romana which I have never seen before and I wish I would never see something similar in the future. Don't get fooled by...the monicker Italian restaurant. Italians do not cook like this. Quo vadis Quo Vadis?More

By accident ended up in downtown Trier today and we had lunch at Qvo Vadis. From the outside it does not look like much, but once inside that changes: lovely decorations, comfortable tables and chairs. Rich menu, quick service and the food was delicious. Can...recommend!! We noticed many tables had ‘reserved’ signs on them for the dinner service- it must be popular by locals too!!More

We had a lovely night here with great food and good service. It was a summer night, and we were seated outside, which was really nice. We had pasta and pizza, and both dishes were delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly, and we would...love to come back another time.More

The pasta is cooked as it should be, ala dente. The sauces are flavorful and the wine list is adequate. Would definitely return

Passing through Trier on cycle trip down the Mosel this provided a nice change from German fare. Good thin base pizza and excellent authentic osso bucco. Not that special fro.the outside but lovely interior and good service . Recommended.

My wife and I went twice to this superb Italian restaurant during our four-day visit to Trier and the Moseltal. The value you get here for your money is absolutely unbeatable! I ordered twice the fabulous Calamari al mediterranean. A sublime pasta dish! One of...the best calamari dishes I have ever eaten (incl. many, many visits to Italy). My wife took the filet maiale carozza during our first visit. Although she's not a fan of meat dishes, she absolutely loved this one. Very tender and tasteful. The second time she ordered a Rotbarschfilet, also very well received. The tirmisù (wow!) and the panna cotta we selected as desert appeared to be delicious dolce. The bill was a nice surprise as well. We paid twice €60-65! A glass of prosecco for only €5 and an excellent Orvietto for a quarter-liter carafe for only €5,20. That's what I call great value for the money! One minor remark though: the waiting times are ridiculously long. Twice +1h to get your main course is far too long for Italian restaurant standards, but the food was absolutely worth waiting for! Perfect address for a superb Italian dinner in Trier!More

My wife and I spent an evening in Trier and while we have enjoyed the German food scene, we wanted to try something different. After talking to the receptionist at our hotel, I asked her what HER favorite restaurant was in the city and she...didn't even hesitate to suggest an Italian restaurant called Quo Vadis. Well, needless to say, we now understand why she liked it so much. They place was amazing! We showed up about 15 minutes after opening on Sunday evening and there was only 3 or 4 other people there. We were immediately seated by a very kind and pleasant woman who did not speak English, but understood our requests and always had a smile. It took us some time to peruse the menu. We made a lot of guesses at items since the menu itself was not in English. However, our choices ended up being perfect. My wife ordered the saltimbocca (thinly sliced pork tenderloin with prosciutto on top) and a homemade pasta in butter sauce. Meanwhile, I had pork medallions in a gorgonzola sauce with homemade spaghetti in butter sauce. Both dishes came with carrots that had also been cooked in butter. Everything was rich and delicious! We both had glasses of Riesling which accompanied everything. And you can't just leave an Italian restaurant without dessert! And what better than tiramisu and coffee! Let me say... It was to die for! This was a great way to enjoy something a little different than the usual German fare and it was well worth it!More
