The atmosphere of this restaurant is really relaxed and given large spaces, the place is really worthy to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The restaurant does a really good pork knuckle and schnitzel. Great for lunch and beers under the sun - weather permitting*...More

We ended up stopping here twice during our visit to Dresden. The prices are a bit higher than usual in Germany but fair to Dresden. The beer is fantastic. I had ravioli with a fresh tomato sauce, delicious. Weißwurst served in a cute traditional pot...More

We did a huge team dinner here one night. Lots of shared apps, big beers and schnitzel. Servers were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere!

Came in based on the reviews of the wiener schnitzel af this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The schnitzel was indeed very good. The place itself is a bit overpriced, but not touristy the night we visited, where mostly locals were enjoying the (very...More

Good is good here, however service is like extremely slow, lunch at least 2hrs.... so do not be in a rush while visiting, several customers left while waiting for service or when they learned the waiting time.

We had dinner outside at the Augustiner, right on the main square next to the Frauenkirche. Service was slow, but we were not in a rush. Beer was excellent and food above average—both traditional German fair and a good variety for everyone’s taste.

Hearty German fare, definitely not gourmet. Servings were generous Large bread or potato dumplings with every main dish. Filling but rather tasteless. Everything was too salty, especially the liver dumpling soup. Restaurants in the old days used salt to make guests thirsty. This restaurant keeps...More

At home in Saxony! Loveably Saxon & Typically Bavarian Under this motto we welcome you daily from 10 am in one of the reconstructed baroque town houses on Neumarkt square in Dresden. Augustiner an der Frauenkirche has space over its three storeys in various lounges that can also be rented out separately. In addition there is room in the outdoor area, an open invitation to experience the pulsating life of one of Europe's most unique cities with a direct view of the Frauenkirche church. Friends of our Augustiner beer can choose between five different beer types, all of which are dispensed fresh from the barrel apart from the wheat beer which is bottled. Accompanying your beer you can enjoy the corresponding seasonally selected Bavarian/Saxon cuisine.
