We wanted a place where we can eat some traditional German food. We chose this place and it was perfect choice. We ordered a set of different meats with potatoes and green beans. We barely ate it all. Size of the main course was huge. I must say though, it was quite fat.

Due to the weather we sat inside, it's very cosy - not cramped though. The service was good, friendly and relatively quick - English spoken well and help with the menu offered. The food was very good, my wife had liver and I had veal. Prices were very reasonable.

It was a nice and healthy German food experience after half a day walking through the streets of central Dresden and the halls of Old Masters Zwinger collection. Goulash soup, duck with cabbage, German sausage and beer was exactly what we needed.

After wondering around for hours and taking tread off your shoes, if you are interested in a huge meal, this is the place for you. It is quaint, great, fun, and relaxed. The facilities are clean and the suds are good. I would recommend the hardy meals part of the menu and the potatoes are excellent. This is an easy... More

We came to Dresden quite unexpected as our flight was redirected here and spent a few hours in the city and decided to eat here. The Dresden goulash was absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly and the decor of the interior is very typical of Saxony, and old quirky style if a fantastic location. I look forward to visiting again.

In this cosy restaurant in Dresden city centre I had the best goulash in my life called Dresdner goulash soup. I cannot recommend it enough! I also had a half duck which was a bit dry, but not bad at all. I love this restaurant and will be back when I am in Dresden again. The bill was 35 EUR... More

The wife and I reserved a table for an evening meal here during our visit to Dresden. We where in Dresden for 5 days and of all the places that we went for meals this was by far the best of all of them. The Kutscherschänke is situated at Münzgasse which in it self is worth a visit and its... More

We had dinner two times here while we were visiting Dresden, the place is great as it is decorated like a mountain chalet and the food is absolutely fantastic. The service is fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
