This was one of best restaurants during the stay in Andalucia. We ended up there in the afternoon for lunch and all was perfect. We came back the day after for dinner (you should book your table). The service is 5 star (Jesus in particular was so kind and helpful!). Try the pesto (ratatouille) with fried egg, you will certainly... More

After visiting the Mezquita we were looking for somewhere to have lunch along the street just outside the courtyard area. We looked at several menus, all of which looked very acceptable. then a young lady handed us a flyer, at which we barely glanced at first. A closer look revealed a choice of 9 starters and 9 mains in a... More

We were staying nearby and Bodegas Mezquita was one of tapas restaurants recommended by our receptionist. We were told that they win awards every year for their tapas and this is indicated on the menu. We had four 1/2 rations between the two of us and a basket of bread. It was all really delicious and the waiters were jovial... More

We ordered three dishes, but that was enough for two Japanese women. All dishes were delicious!! Also waiters were very kind and fun(especially Jose). They provided Japanese/English/Spanish menus and had known a lot of greeting-words. So We were really satisfied. We would go there again! Muchas gracias!!

The menu is very helpful to tourists. It indicates which dishes are andalusian, sephardi, or recommend, which enables even the most unprepared tourists to discover local delicacies. I also would like to mention the graceful service of our waiter, Manu, who, albeit the language barrier, made us feel very welcomed and at home. I commend you, Manu!

Sorry Cordoba, but this is not what the stunning city of Cordoba is about..... Everything was closed, because we came in late and had to pick one restaurant at random which was open. Very nice and Andalucian style room with flamenco playing in the background, a rather tired young waiter who tried (in vain) to be affable and friendly, but... More

Dear Customer. Thank you for your comment because it helps us to improve. We are glad that you liked the decoration of our restaurant and wine Montilla-Moriles. Regarding the dishes that tells us, artichokes are natural and our ham is from Iberian acorn. Satisfaction is guaranteed, indicated on all cards. It's a shame that you had not told to the... More

Hake had been ruined by a strong acidic sauce and deep fried to within an inch of its life. Revolting! Ordered croquettes instead: gloopy! Like battered glue. Meatballs gave my partner the squirts. Both of us suffered the whole night and next day. Seems quite popular so maybe we just got unlucky with our menu choices but wouldn't give it... More

Dear customer, Thank you for your comment because it helps us to improve. After talking to our partner Rossy about your comment, she tells us that the only dish that you did not like was the hake, and we changed it for a ham croquette, you told her that you had really liked this dish. My partner asked your on... More

We booked a table online two weeks before New Year's Eve and had a great time ringing in 2017 at Bodegas Mesquita Céspedes in Córdoba! From reservation to payment, the organization of the dinner went smoothly without a hitch. And as for our feast: five courses, consisting of generous portions of local cheese, the well-known jamón ibérico, seafood bisque, salmon,... More

Bodega Mezquita. Tavern- traditional restaurant located in the Jewish quarter, close to MEzquita Catedral of Cordoba. An exceptional place where you can taste the best plates and tapas of cordovan gastronomy.

Family business which we initiated our path in the 60s, is one of the favourite establishments as people from Cordoba as visitor from our city, when they want enjoy of authentic cordovan tapeo and best wines from our land.

Cuisine which is made with traditional method, is essence of Andalucian gastronomic culture, with the best products from the rich cordovan land: Iberian ham, sheep cheese and meat from Valle de Los Pedroches, olive oil virgin extra, fortified wine from Montilla Moriles...

As could not be otherwise, our specialities are: the famous Salmorejo Cordobes, Berenjenas a la miel, Flamenquin and Rabo de Toro.
Our quality is recognised for numerous prize and honours like SICTED among others and the best guides to national and international travels too.
