Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really lovely dinner with my husband, we had the sharing board to start, this was really delicious and well worth the money. My husband went for the tuna pizza, which he said was very tasty with fresh tuna on top. I had the venison pasta,...and I can't explain how delicious this was!More

Mafia , Cadiz at Palacio, on the pleasant Plaza de San Augustine is part of a Spanish chain of Italian themed restaurants. The menu and wines are overpriced. It has a steady business despite excellent local restaurants nearby. The antipasta sharing board was very good;...Iberico hams, cheeses, olives. The pasta stuffed with chicken and the One female waiter was surly and said that we could only buy the most expensive wine by the bottle. This was resolved by a manager….overall the staff were good. Although surrounded by wonderful Andalusian restaurants, it is recommended.More

Delicious food! Wonderful service from Alba y Alejandro, friendly and fun. Spent good time chatting with other Dutch travelers and enjoyed a margarita pizza and the grilled artichoke with jamón and truffle shavings! Yum! Nice wine list.

The food was very nice, although we asked for my daughter’s carbonara without bacon and it still came with bacon. The service wasn’t good. You aren’t given a menu, told to scan a QR code… I think everyone prefers a menu. One drink never arrived..., so we asked again for it and then two appeared. We asked for a straw and that never came. Twice the waitress’s came out and tried to give the wrong plates to the wrong tables. One person didn’t get new cutlery so we had to ask for it, the whole time it felt like we were an inconvenience, which is a shame.More

The best Italian food I've tried, I really recommend this place. I had some focaccia with burrata for starters and it was delicious. Then I had some octopus and it was amazing and my friends tried the calzone which was tasty and the Amalfitana pizza,...this was really good, all the ingredients came together perfectly. They also brought us bread with a spreadable paste, I think it was dried tomatoes, very tasty. I recommend the rosso diverso to drink, it was very goodMore

I didn’t feel like a guest but just like someone who had to be processed. Quality of food is good, value for money too but why push me the second dish when I am still working on the first. No English proficiency but I managed...with my interpretation of Spanish. Nothing like attention or interest. Tourists trap but they are perhaps not aware yet.More

Lovely change from tapas. Authentic Italian food. Nice atmosphere. Busy but not loud. Service not too bad, could probably be a bit better but wouldn’t put me off going again. Highly recommend it .

We visited with our dog and could only sit outside. I ordered gluten-free bread and told them i was a celiac. For the main I ordered potato gnocchi with tomato sauce. Whilst I was eating, i found strands of spaghetti in it. I asked, and...the management tried to blame the server for the mistake. They said the gnocchi sauce is done in the same cooker as the spaghetti, and it can't be helped. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE A CELIAC!!!! Their understanding of the condition is limited and inappropriate for their profession. I now will be ill for 5 days.More

Came here on a day trip to Cadiz based on the great looking menu. We ordered the arugula pesto with egg and the beef risotto. Both were presented well and didn't disappoint. The service was somewhat disinterested and abrupt at one point stacking other peoples...dirty plates on top of mine! No big deal though. Nothing special and doesn't compare to other Italian places but perfectly nice for lunch if not a little overpricedMore

We booked a table for 4 people at 20:00, we were not given English menus, but instead were told to use the qr code on the table, which seemed odd, as English couples arriving later were given menus The entire ordering process was sub standard,...as we ordered a bottle of red wine, and a bottle of white wine, but were only given glasses!!!!! Again we noticed other diners were given bottles The food service I’m sorry to say was appalling as courses were served at incorrect times, and still with incomplete food on the table, the food itself was cold, served on cold plates, and not very appetising This was a real shame as we all enjoy Italian food, and there were plenty of staff on duty I would not recommend this restaurant to anyoneMore

When the menu is multiple pages long (with pictures), as this one is, I am immediately worried that I am in the wrong place. The best restaurants don't try to do everything well, it can't be done. I also noticed how high the prices were,...even the salads were priced like entrees with no 1/2 ration offered. The restaurant claims to be Italian fusion (they do have pizza and pasta), but don't come here for Italian food. The Caesar salad, with bacon, chicken, and swiss cheese, but devoid of anchovies, garlic, or croutons, is not a Caesar. We tried to order it without the "extras", but it came with more Emmentaler than parm, the lettuce was brown, and the salad overdressed. Pastas have laundry lists of ingredients (what's with all the Emmentaler?), though the best Italian food is usually limited to three. After the mound of cheese that was on the salad, we expected an offer of parmesan for the plates of pasta, but that never transpired. So, we asked for it. The waiter came with a shaker, sans top, that had parm packed in it. She tried to shake it out and a little came out at a time, so she kept on shaking it to get more out. It was weird, for lack of a better word. The portions of pasta were huge, but not exciting, not great. The service was interesting. We asked for a pizza to be served with the salad as a first course, but all the food came at once. And our server asked us if we wanted dessert while we were eating lunch since the kitchen was closing. This place is pretty close to the cruise ship port, so I imagine it is focused on the tourist crowd. We live here and won't be back.More

We visited here last week at 8 pm, just when the doors opened. By 8:30 pm. there wasn’t a table to be had. If you are looking for a change from Tapas, then this is the place for you. The menu is varied with all...the usual Italian staples. Hubby and I both opted for pizzas and they were fab! We had Italian ice creams for dessert, also scrumptious. The wine list was well priced with both Italian and Spanish options. The staff spoke excellent English and were efficient and friendly. We had a lovely evening here and highly recommend it.More

Very disappointed, WARNING TO PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS! Booked with friends, ordered a salad without meat of fish ( vegetarian) assured by friends and waiter that this was possible. When meal arrived it had chicken on it!!! returned it to waiter and he returned...it to kitchen. Dish then arrived, I assumed a new, correct one……. Only to find after I had eaten some of the salad there was a price of chicken in the dish. Presumably they had just removed the chicken from the dish, therefore I ate some contaminated salad. Supposing I had been allergic!!!! Dreadful quality of service. Would not recommend this place to vegetariansMore
