Visited the tapas bar and enjoyed good quality food and efficient service. Busy and with a nice buzz, lots of locals as well as a few visitors. Reasonable prices.

Great location, service a bit slow if you are sitting outside. Great value, for a typical local menu. Would return.

A group of us (4) went for a 2PM dinner and with a small entrance it was surprising to walk into this large and impressive restaurant - nice wood finishes and lots of photos signed by visiting celebrities and locals. Appetisers - pulpo salad (just octopus and mayonnaise) was very good; the pulpo was the softest I have ever had.... More

I booked a table for 9 a couple months in advance and specially mentioned was an important family reunion. The day was 25 December and when arrived we found out they had placed us in the worst possible place, where people and waiters were continuously passing by. The restaurant was fully packed and perhaps due to that the quality of... More

The food and wine in the tapas bar was lovely. The bar itself is old with lovely wooden cabinets, and the staff wear formal black and white. Though we did enjoy it, the atmosphere was not of an authentic tapas bar; it was very bright and there were no tables, so everyone had to share the bar counter which made... More

We went here on a recommendation of a local. The restaurant was a bit more than what we wanted to spend, so we tried the tapas at the side bar. Tortilla de camarones was excellent. Not very doughy, nice and crispy. Fried anchovies had good flavor. Friendly staff.

We stopped here on the recommendation from a local, she said it was the best restaurant in town. What we had there was certainly good. A nice little shrimp tortillita some whole fried anchovies, and a melt-in-your-mouth , so good , tapa of leeks cheese and bacon. Friendly professional staff who wear bow ties. Tile lined bar makes for a... More

Our tour guide Carlos took us to the tapas bar of El Faro - fantastic assortment of the bartenders selections and great beer. A perfect stop after a day of touring Cadiz and Seville.

El Faro de Cadiz is located in the traditional neighborhood of "La Viña", where Gonzalo Cordoba started with a small bar decorated as a sailor tavern, with nets and fishing stuff, with few wooden benches and tables. The customers came in search of the famous fried fish, called "pescaito frito" daily carried by fishermen of "caleta" beach. His daily concern and desire to excel led him to transform the local expanding and providing modern facilities. Now retired, his spirit of service and commitment to others is part of our principle to keep shining gastronomically Cadiz and we are proud to continue this work. El Faro Cadiz is still committed to the tradition to move forward and offer the best of our sea and our land to our clients.
