Was enchanted by the surroundings in the historical part of the city. We sat down and chose from the menu. Her indoors chose salmon which came grilled full of bones with chips.....no garnish...not even a small tomato! I had sirloin steak in peppercorn sauce. It also came with chips...nothing more nothing less. The sauce was congealed and almost inedible....had l... More

Mixed reviews but we enjoyed it. Only diners at first for lunch but tapas menu was good value - habas, langostinos, boquerones, gambas, 2 glasses of wine + water for 24 euros. Food was good. Waiters were friendly and professional and we were not rushed.

We have visited Malaga many times, and find this small restaurant great for tasty tapas at lunchtime. There are 2 menus, a full one and one for portions of tapas, so make sure you get the menu you want. We found the staff very welcoming and friendly, and nobody 'messed' with our bill. It's a lovely spot to people watch,... More

Food is fair enough, but when they mess with the bill it's just not worth it! Stay away, you can do a lot better!

Very easily missed place if you dont happen to walk down this alleyway. Only a small place but the service and food are very good. Great range of tapas also.

The waiters in this restaurant are talking hungry tourists in the narrow streets of Malaga into a relatively expensive experience for poor food and slow service. We were a family of 7 people there, -Sirloin steaks were of poor quality, Chicken with cashewnuts were very dry and had no taste. Rabbit and spaghette bolognaise were just ok, -however 10 euro... First evening in Malaga and out for a wander on a touristy street full of restaurant/tapas bars. Encouraged into Meson La Alegria with the promise of 'good tapas'. Never do this; always research on Tripadvisor beforehand, go with the majority and refuse to be encouraged by waiters who wave menus . Anyhow, took a table in the cavernous depths (it... More

A delicious and fun place to eat! I tried all their typical spanish dishes and paellas and loved the fact that the music and ambience suited the cuisine!

We had dinner in this restaurant while being in Malaga. We were tired of the sightseeing and just came across this restaurant. Although the people are very kind and welcome, this is not the place where many locals would go. In other words, it is an average place (for price and quality), but I would expect more foreigners going there... More
