We visited all three Cervantes restaurants (which are round the corner from each other) during our extended stay in Malaga. Same excellent menu and service in each. This was our favourite of them though make sure you book as it it very popular and quite...rightly so.More

What a lovely restaurant this is. Everything is perfect and delicate. Pulpa...sardines and bacalau. We went back for a second time. Wine was breca el nacido as a matching dinner date 🍷

Really lovely restaurant and excellent food. The people there are so nice, especially the lady who was in charge, and they all make you feel very welcome. Family meal for 5 adults at the start of an Andalusian holiday. What a boost this lovely place afforded. Many dishes - each better than the last. Delicious wine too. The cod, tuna and pork stand out but there were no duffs. Many many thanks...xxxMore

We were given a menu in English although I understand & speak Spanish fairly well. My partner ordered the sea bass with a mustard sauce & when it arrived we discovered that the flesh of the fish (which was well hidden by the sauce) was...brown. On further inspection, the "seabass" turned out to be mackerel. How did we know - because we are both from the East coast of Scotland & have been eating fresh fish all our lives & we know what mackerel looks like! The flesh of Sea bass isn't brown & mackerel flesh is! I called the waitress over & told her that the fish on my partner's plate wasn't Sea bass. I said (in Spanish) "I don't know what the Spanish is for this fish but in English we call it mackerel". She shouted loudly that the fish WAS Sea bass & she could show us the order for it. I wasn't sure if she meant OUR order for it or the restaurant's order to the fishmonger. Anyway - she flounced off & there was no further discussion but we were charged for Sea bass. My question is this - are the owners of this restaurant being charged & paying for what they THINK is Sea bass but being sold mackerel? OR are they passing off a much cheaper piece of fish to customers who don't know the difference between white fish & mackerel? Altogether a very unpleasant experience where we were made to feel very uncomfortable but to be fair the rest of the food was good. Very odd!More

Incredible food, great service. We walked up without a reservation, a family of four but they seated us without hesitation even though the restaurant was busy. Great tapas and wine recommendations from the waiter, very friendly guy who made us feel very welcome. Would recommend...100%.More

Hidden gem of a restaurant, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Great to see such a warm smiling welcome from all, especially the lady that served us who also tried to coax us into having dessert. Even though we were tempted, there was no need as...the tapas was amazing. Recommend booking in advance as when we turned up we were lucky and got a table at the bar, others ended up queuing for a while. With so much choice in Malaga, I’d strongly recommend a visit here.More
