Was really looking forward to eating here as it topped a list of places to eat in Malaga. The prawns were not good, thick brown lines in which squirted out when eaten - urgh! Steak was ok but they got our orders mixed so we...More

I just love this place. Malaga trips are not complete without at least a daily visit here. Grandmas croquettes and the samorella (maybe spelt wrong 🙈) are to die for. Cava €13 per bottle with uninterrupted sunshine... I’m booking my next flight tomorrow!

We enjoyed a great lunch here. On the expensive side but the food was very good and the service attentive.

El Pimpi has a stylish indoor decoration and classic outdoor tables. Service was quite fast and meals were delicious. Most people on our table tried mixed fried fish for two and everybody was pleased.

This restaurant was buzzing! The waiters seemed to move at 100mph. We both had fish which was very tasty. The portions were large enough that we could have easily shared and added a salad. A great place for people watching.

The food was good, nothing outstanding. Very lovely inside and busy at lunch. Not sure what the hype is except Picasso ate there. If you’re into that and want an historic looking place to eat then it’s great. But there are many wonderful restaurants in...More

This emblematic wine cellar built in an old house from the 18th century is a meeting place for people of all ages. It has welcomed many generations of artists, flamenco dancers or politicians. It is named after formerly popular city figures called 'los pimpis', young people who had helped ship crews or passengers and had become the first city guides. It is furnished in the style of Malaga, and offers local wines and delicious gastronomy which is very popular in the city. The soul of the restaurant is the lounge with the vintage wine barrels, signed by famous people, such as the family Picasso, the painter Barcelo, the bullfighter Cordobes, The Duchess of Alba, Carmen Thyssen and Antonio Banderas, who show the historical value of this place. This establisment is in the old town of Malaga, next to the Museum Picasso, La Alcazaba (the Citadel of Malaga) and the Roman Theatre.
