The Carvery, a family run restaurant, which has been established since 2001 has moved 5 metres up the road. Offering a selection of roast meats including mouthwatering roast beef, ham, turkey, lamb and pork with all the trimmings there is a choice of at least 5 freshly prepared vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes and the best Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and gravy for 17.5€. The menu has a range of starters including prawn cocktail, goat's cheese and beetroot salad, BBQ wings and garlic bread. Main courses include ribs, fish & chips and salads. Save room for home-made puddings including chocolate brownies, banoffee pie and pavlovas to name a few. A friendly and efficient service and great value for money. The Carvery used to be really good.. still is.. but Mikey's bar next door are beating them on roast for quantity, quality and flavour. If you want the posh location and be seen in the right place go to The Carvery and pay double the price.

After reading the reviews about
The Carvery we knew we just had to try this place when we travelled from Belfast for a few days holiday an we weren’t disappointed.
When we arrived we were greeted by a fella named John who was very friendly, helpful and had a big smile on his face.
All the staff were so friendly.
The restaurant is very clean with great decor and very spacious.
They also have a little kids corner which is fantastic.
Now for the food, well what can I say apart from THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR!!
Definitely the BEST Carvery we’ve ever tasted, large variety that’s cooked to absolute perfection with great size portions and amazing value for money 💯% recommend here for the best British food on the coast, you will not be disappointed.
We actually went two nights in a row it was that good!!!
So glad we found this little treasure as nothing beats a Sunday roast when your on holiday!
We will definitely be returning again!

We visited last Saturday for dinner. I had the small plate carvery, which was ample food for me and my husband took advantage of the special, 3 courses for €19.95, which was great value for money. All hygiene regulations were adhered to. Although a little quiet for a Saturday night, there were enough people to give some atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

Booked for a Sunday lunch 19th July 2020. Arrived a few minutes late as parking is a nightmare around the restaurant. We were met by friendly staff and shown to our table and asked if we would require a drink. After ordering we had to wait 20 minutes for them to arrive. After taking our lunch order which consisted of 2 pate and one prawn dish which again we had a considerable wait eventually came and I have to say the food up to this point was good. My wife and guests went to the carvery for their lunches. After sitting down we had to ask when the fish and chips would be arriving some 30 minutes later my meal arrived minus the portion of peas ordered with the meal, when they were brought to the table they were stone cold. The food at the carvery is good but the service is abysmal and it wasn't as if the restaurant was busy. The food is good but plan a full day if you order anything other than the carvery . But the fastest thing to arrive was the bill it only took 42 seconds for it to arrive. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this establishment ever.

Me and my husband are very fussy about our roast dinner and there are so many places which serve average or poor roasts. The Carvery however is the most delicious we have found in many years on the Costa. The meat, potatoes and Yorkshire are always perfect and The portions are generous, with as much meat and trimmings as you want. The drinks are also very reasonably priced which makes the overall cost such good value. The staff are friendly and efficient and always ask if we want to go up for seconds.....which other carverys offer but don’t really encourage! We go as often as we can on a Sunday mainly. My only complaint is that it’s not nearer where we live (40 mins away), otherwise we would go every week as we just love it here and cannot recommend it enough.....a MUST try fab restaurant particularly if you want a beaut roast!

My husband wanted roast beef for a Sunday meal, and we decided to try the Carvery since it had such good reviews. He had the roast beef and lamb with all the fixings. On Sunday, the menu is limited. I chose the scampi meal with sweet potato fries which were a bit soggy, and the scampi were mostly breading, very little shrimp, plus the shrimp weren’t deveined. I only ate a few. I wouldn’t recommend the scampi, however my husband did enjoy his meal.

Without doubt the best carvery I’ve ever had, the joints of meat were cooked and served by a brilliant team of chefs, supported by great front of house staff who were in the ball, all knew what they were doing and doing it with a smile.
You just have to go !!
The food is better than excellent and it was a very pleasurable experience.
The owner should be immensely proud of all of the team, they made a great experience even better.
I’ll be back, if I can get a reservation ! Seriously though it was really busy and that in itself tells the story

Friends introduced us to this place and I’m glad they did. The food was superb. There was all the meats (very succulent indeed) with all the trimmings (stuffing, pickled cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, peas, etc)
The servings were very generous and I loved the fact that you could always get up for more!
Their dessert menu sounded delicious, we had the apple crumble and sticky toffee - both scrumptiously delicious.
The staff were very friendly and the decor beautiful (impressive) considering it didn’t look like much from the outside. Very nice ambience.
There’s a reason you have to book well in advance and they’re always full. I will definitely be going back especially as they do Carvery EVERY DAY!!! And not only on Sundays like all the other restaurants that offer carvery.

My husband and I visited this restaurant in 2018. This year we decided to take our daughter and her boyfriend there for dinner to celebrate her birthday. This involved a taxi trip from our accommodation costing 80 euros return which is testament to how much we had enjoyed our first visit.
We unfortunately arrived 15 minutes late due to the driver being a little unsure of the location. Luckily they had not given away our table despite the fact they were very busy. This was a Sunday evening.
We were a party of three vegetarians and one omnivore. We all opted to start with fried brie and it was very nice indeed. My daughter and I then opted for vegan nut roast and veg from the carvery, my husband had vegetarian lasagne and our friend had scampi and chips. We all really enjoyed our meals. My daughter and I particularly liked the vegan stuffing. Despite being very busy indeed the staff were all very friendly and efficient and showed no signs of being anything other than totally on top of their game. At no time did we feel rushed to vacate our table either.
Our bill for starters,mains, two cocktails, two cokes and a bottle of wine came to 118.05 euros which we felt was good value. As with our previous visit we came away a little sad that we had not managed to tackle a sweet course. The sweets always look so nice as they go past but we were all really full after 2 courses. Like some other reviewers, I wish there was a place of similar quality near to where we live in England.

Wonderful food fantastic service very cosy well stocked fresh veggies the meats pork beef and lamb all done correctly plenty of it and seconds if you wish. veggies all crisp gravey different sauces. the desserts to die for. well stocked wine list and all avaiable.

If you want fantastic food at reasonable prices you have to visit The Carvery. We keep going back for Sunday lunch because it's such good value for money and the food is superb!
Very friendly staff and you can keep going back for more. I start with the lamb and move on to the beef... delish!

Book ahead if you want to eat after 1300 on a Sunday.
Everything was piping hot. The Cod and Chips the other half had was huge. The roast beef and trimmings were excellent.
Lunch with a drink each cost less than breakfast at a Canadian airport.
Will eat there again, but mid week because we like to eat when we feel like it.

I have heard people say that they don't like Carvery's because people pick up food that they don't eat or they mess with the food and then don't take it. YOU DON'T DO THAT HERE.
Here you go to the counter and choose your meats and the staff serve it to you. In normal times they serve you the meats, yorkshires, cauliflower cheese and stuffing then you serve yourself the veg with the staff in attendance. You take whatever you want and go back for more if you want to. I rarely see people take too much and leave the food.
Now every care is taken for your safety. You are served everything by the staff so that no one is touching the ladles or spoons. You tell them how much you want on your plate and they serve it to you. You can go back for more later.
There is a menu for those that don't want the Carvery or if you prefer there is a Nut Roast or a vegan option.
The staff are really friendly and will welcome you with a smile and by their attitude it's obvious that they enjoy working there.
The desserts are home made and delicious.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the design and layout is very well thought out.
I really can't fault this restaurant. I have taken many people to the restaurant and everyone loves it, including my Spanish friends. I go there sometimes alone and I always feel very comfortable.
Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

We had a family meal here last night, before early flight home , what a lovely way to end a wonderful family holiday, the food was first class as was the fantastic service.my parents adore a carvary and said this was the best they had ever had!!
My cod was so good and cooked exactly how I requested with just a dusting of batter. Ten out of ten from us 👍

We have enjoyed eating here on several occasions. As stated in my last review, the carvery had become far too salty for me, which meant it was unlikely that we would be able to go again. After my review, I was contacted to say they would cook my vegetables separately without any added salt. We decided to give this a go a couple of weeks ago and they did a smashing job of making sure I was catered for. The staff were amazing as always and I enjoyed my food very much, so well done to the kitchen staff. We will most definitely be going back when we are able. Thank you.
