Came here ‘off the cuff’ and was pleasantly surprised. Considering it was a Wednesday in November they had live music and the restaurant had a lovely ‘buzz’ about it with lots of tables taken. The service was excellent and attentive without being pushy and whilst we only wanted a basic meal it arrived promptly and was very tasty. Overall a good experience.

The location, calamaritos and sangria were clear 5s. The solenwoth por mans potatoes and Málaga shrimp were good giving a total score of 4. The service was excellent but there were only two tables occupied during our visit which may have contributed. This was our second visit and so far We have still not tried the pizzas.

Lured in by the gentleman at front who was lovely.
Service was really good so a great start , drinks quickly and served well order taken with anticipation
Bruschetta was not bruschetta but tomatoes on focaccia , too doughy
Pizza was not good, same, too doughy it seemed was the same base and the toppings added on top after it was cooked . Not crispy not napolitano either
I would come back but not for the pizza

This restaurant helped to make our holiday special.
My partner and I went most evenings towards the end of our fortnights holiday while staying at the Melia hotel.
The staff are friendly, efficient, welcoming and accommodating.
The food is beautiful. Very authentic Italian. There is no pressure to have a course each, it can be shared if you don't feel like too much food.
We first went for lunch and the fresh sardines were delicious. We noticed that music was on each night. Two guitarists and singing. This was lovely quiet back ground music. We returned and found the restaurant full but they managed to find us a table. We hadn't gone to eat, just to have a drink and listen. It was a lovely warm night with the waves breaking on the beach and a lovely dark sky with the reflection of fairy lights on the windows. All very romantic.
We returned the following night for an evening meal. The staff recognised us and we were able to choose our table. Again the food was delicious and the hard working staff polite, friendly and fun. We spent many more happy evenings in the restaurant.
It is very popular with locals which is always a good sign.
We promised to return next year so I do hope it is still being run b y the same people.
Well done to all staff for being such a friendly place to eat and for the delicious food.

Average food, surly waiters, won't go back
Firstly, the plus points - the food was ok, the location is good when the sun is up.
We are learning Spanish so we ordered in Spanish and the reception we got was poor.
Firstly, the wine list is poor. When your ‘best’ white wine is ‘vina sol’, you know that this is not a classy joint. So we ordered sangria at €17 a litre, which is a bit pricey, although they didn’t fill the jug with too much ice to pad it out. A small basket of bread arrived with two sachets of olive oil – not ordered, but charged for of course - €3 for the bread.
We got our sangria and the waiter just came to our table and stared at my wife, so she orders her starter (in Spanish), and he continues to stare, so she orders her main. So now he sort of looks at me so I order gazpacho and he treats me like a moron and mimes drinking soup and says ‘soup’. I reply ‘sí’. I order my pizza. I am starting to lose confidence in this place by now.
My soup and my wife’s starter and they were both ok. Actually, my wife said that her ‘barata y guacamole’ was quite good. No one checked that the food was ok.
They came and took the plates. After a while our pizzas arrived. These were ok too, except either my base was very hard or my knife was blunt and I had to tear mine.
Again we were just left. We waited for a while and someone took our plates when we had finished and we waited some more. So we asked to pay. We paid and left. €68 for 2 starters, two pizzas and a jug of sangria – poor value for money, especially with the perfunctory service we received.
I left with the strong impression that they don’t like the English, even if you make an effort to speak Spanish.
No problem – we take our money elsewhere.

Good food and excellent service. A very clean and tidy restaurant well worth a visit. We had the house salad and shared a pizza for lunch with 2 glasses of wine and a large bottle of water came to under €32. This included a dish of olives and good quality bread

Utterly appalling service. Food atrocious. A cesar salad that was damp and limp, and I suspect it had been prepared many hours before. Then the pizza arrived. And we waited for the other main course. After giving up and eating the pizza, the other half was offered a postre. We asked about the missing main. It had been forgotten about. Then someone threw down a plate of spaghetti. No pepper or cheese offered. No proper cutlery. After eventually getting up to get the pepper mill, they offered another small mill and then brought over some cheese. By this point, we really had had enough. Disgusting. Oh, the pizza was of a poor standard. Like a tortilla with cheddar on, that had been fried. Who does that? People may think this is a tourist trap; fair enough, but at 40 quid, I expect a level of service and quality. I guess you get the mark of a place when they only respond to the good reviews and not the many terrible. Let's see if they answer to this.

We visited this restaurant about 6 years ago and we were not impressed but thought we would give it another chance - sadly it was history repeating itself ! We were shown to a table with no view of the sea ( thought about asking to be moved but other tables were being taken) - the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza, not at all like an authentic Italian pizza - I had the tuna tartare which was average. Sparkling water was 2.50 euros but for a 33cl bottle whereas everywhere else we had eaten it was the same price for 50cl. Service was friendly but sadly won’t be recommending the food.

Visted on our last night as was close to hotel and we had a very early morning checkout.
I really fancied a pizza and as it was suppose to be a italian restaurant what could go wrong.
Hubby ordered chicken in a spicy sauce.
He got frozen breaded deep fried chicken wings with a side of sweet chilli sauce ???
Not italian.
I got a frozen fungai (mushroom ) pizza so
Over cooked dry it was not a lovely pizza cooked in a pizza oven.
This resturant also served up the food so quickly within 5 mins of ordering so clearly pre cooked and microwaved.
Not cheap either absolutely a tourist rip off worst meal I have ever had in Spain in 55 years avoid.

PizzaMare? Pizza Dissaster!
Never ever i have been to a pizzeria as bad as this one. Believe me Dominos or New York pizza’s are way better.
The bottom of the pizza is like a carton board. It had nothing to fo with fresh dough. And when i asked for Mozzarella instrad od regular cheese i got a pizza with regular cheese. When i told the waiter about it he send the pizza back and after a few minutes i got it back with even more regular cheese and a even harder bottom.
So they didnt make a new pizza with mozzarella they just added more cheese and cooked the pizza afain. Oh my god😅. Wat a joke
Also check out the bruschetta. Maybe there is a part in Italy where they serve it like this but i have never seen it.

Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. We have visited many times over the years. The waitress/hostess, Lucia, is just amazing! She is friendly, incredibly efficient and nothing is too much trouble - going out of her way to ensure all diners are happy and well looked after. A perfect beachside setting with amazing food and the added bonus of a duo playing guitar and singing (in English and Spanish) most evenings. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting, you will not be disappointed and you’ll be afforded a warm welcome by Lucia. Can’t wait to return next visit.

When I got served my starter chicken ceaser salad for €12 I was truly gob smacked! I was served whole lettuce leaves with chicken giblets my dogs wouldn’t eat! The dressing it was smothered with was so awful looking and salty I nearly spat it out. Then a topping of dry grated cheddar to finish. That was my salad. I’d have taken a photo, but I was soo disappointed i just wanted to leave. My partner and son were served the most ugly looking awful tasting margarita pizza. It wasn’t cheap. The food was really awful. Please don’t waste your time or money. Very disappointing

Just returned from a trip to Spain. We visited madrid, cordoba, Grenada and malaga. Our last leg of our trip placed us in malaga which was very beautiful but was still a big city. We had a rental car and decided to head out of malga proper and look for something a little more laid back and found touremollinos! What a pretty sea side town with shopping, fun bars, a beautiful beach and (drumroll please!) Pizza Mare!! The staff was warm and welcoming , actually inviting us in off the street and making us feel like we were the only patrons in the restaurant! We ate outside as the restaurant is directly on the beach so the views were beautiful! The food topped that! We had fresh made pasta with local seafood and also a bolognese! Service was excellent as were the cloth table cloths and napkins which to me says a lot about the quality of the restaurant! As it was our last day of our trip we returned later for pizza and dessert. They have live music nightly so we enjoyed that as well! Quality of food was exceptional and again can't say enough about the staff and service! Planning on a return trip and will stay on touremollinos (I'm sure I'm soelling it incorrectly) and will happily work our way through their lovely menu! So much more than a pizzeria! Special hello to Lucia!

Lovely vibe from the restaurant, live music, good menu, nice staff and simple Spanish decor. Food bus nice but here is the problem. We both ordered a soup each to start. Soup was extremely hot so we couldn't eat it quickly. As soon as we finished not even 30 seconds later our mains were out on the table. Now I'm working in hospitality 10 years. I am supervisor in a restaurant. And this is not a good look for the restaurant. We could not enjoy our mains. There needs to be a break between courses. It wasn't that they were closing or that it was late in the night so I'm not sure why the food was rushed out to us as it was under 10 mins to us to finish a starter. The rib eye for 26 euros was grey in colour. Did not look fried or grilled. Looked like it came out of sous vide, plus baked potato was smothered in a cream sauce that had hardened before it reached the table. So this is why I cannot give full marks and maybe it is something the head chef and owner should have discussion on. On the other note the seafood fettuccine was lovely. But considering the steak was twice the price of my dish and was so disappointing... I can't recommend. When we asked for the bill waiter asked what was wrong we told him that the food came out to quickly and that we had no time to digest food he just laughed.

A total scam! One of the worst dinners and pizzas ever!
This is by definition a tourist scam, one of the worst restaurants on the Costa del Sol. I usually choose the best restaurants to go to and I am rarely disappointed. Tonight it happened, we were just tired and decided to play by ear and go for a cheeky pizza just a stone's throw from our hotel.
Pizza Mare is the worst scam for tourists. You can tell from the cheap music and decorations, but we decided to give it a go.
The pizzas were disgusting. Not even as good as a frozen pizza from the cheapest supermarkets like Aldi, Lidl, Mercadona and so on. The pizzas were tiny, the dough was thin and burnt, the toppings had no taste, by far the worst pizzas of my life.
This place should be closed for good, the sign saying "Pizza" should be torn down.
I read some of the positive reviews from people who clearly have no idea what good food is.
Shame on the owner for serving such terrible food. Please stay away from such a horrible place like Pizza Mare. For your own good.
