Outstanding service paired with an excellent menu. The Risotto was heaven and the goat cheese and apple appetizer was superb. Highly recommended with a magical view of the Alhambra!

This restaurant must have the best view of the Alhambra in Granada! As you eat you look out onto the hill opposite and (at night) the Alhambra is lit up and looks fantastic. The restaurant looks modern compared with the rest of the Albayzin area and offers a very nice selection of local food - I had a wonderful Morrocan... More

This place is uncommon to the most restaurants I tried in Spain. The quality of food, even though excellent, is limited in the choice and the very same quantity is below the average. But the outcome of each dish is well balanced and, at the end, you enjoy every single bite. In sum, a spot to try, possibly in the... More

My son were so excited about going to this restaurant. It didn't disappoint, we both had soups. Shared the lamb couscous and the mushroom risotto. Food was flavorful, staff attentive, and a beautiful setting look at the Alhambra. Go an enjoy a fabulous place.

We enjoyed a massive tasting menu. Everything was really fantastic - and we are greedy with high standards! The dessert platter was a bit much. Good service and lovely food with nice atmosphere.

We were very lucky to get a table for Nochebuena at the last minute. It was a fixed menu & it seemed a bit pricey but it was also a special night so we went with it. Food was excellent - all courses beautifully designed on the plate & each with a unique mix of flavours. All courses bought their... More

You get to eat good food and have good views of the Alhambra at the same time. The choices are numerous and range from a simple couscous dish to an excellent steak. A good wine list helps the food go down.

I recently visited Granada and was looking for a restaurant that was different from the typical Spanish cuisine. Located in the Albayzin, with a view of the Alhambra Ruta del Azafran was wonderful. I had the Chicken Couscous and it was exceptional. The sweet ness of the dates and the flavorful broth was excellent. Its an easy walk from downtown.... More

Given its location next to the Darro river with excellent views of the floodlit walls of the Alhambra it turned out to be a surprisingly genuine, good quality restaurant. The food was very tasty, if a little over-salty, and service warm and friendly. It wasn't full but we were glad to have booked ahead as it guaranteed us a table... More

At the foot of The Alhambra one can find the restaurant Ruta del Azafran. It is in the
incomparable setting of the Paseo de los Tristes right in the Albaicin, which is perfect
for the traveller that loves to soak up history.
Our kitchen, surrounded by this extraordinary scenery, can be found in the same mix of
cultures alternating between Arab flavors, international foods and the traditional tastes
from Andalucia. It's worth to mention our Tuna Tataki, the Cous-Cous (chicken, lamb
or vegetable), Duck Magret, Moorish Pie and also undoubtedly our homemade desserts.
All of this accompanied by the best local wines, cavas from the Alpujarra mountains
and a special selection of Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines.
The restaurant Ruta del Azafran offers different menus for groups that are carefully put
together by our chef to provide the most exquisite flavors.
All of our meats are Halal and we are ready to accept any request with respect to this.
We have a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Our kitchen professionals who make up a highly qualified team assemble all of the
dishes in the restaurant.
We invite you to visit us: to enjoy the surroundings and taste our exquisite dishes.
