We were a group of 9 who visited on 4 March. We were in the smaller bar area. A very enjoyable evening with good food and drink. Staff were friendly and gave us good advice on our food selection.

This place has the reputation as one of the best tapas restaurants in Seville, and it wasn't far from our hotel so we had to check it out one lunchtime. The reputation is deserved. So much so, that we came back for dinner. The food...is REALLY good - especially the oxtail racion (cola de toro) which was a true how mother used to make it dish! I also loved the morcilla tapa. While there is some fish on the menu here, this is a place for MEAT! No bad thing!! Like most of the tapas places in Seville (especially the good/busy ones) the big drawback - especially for us reserved English - is that you need to be assertive, especially at busy times. It's expected and it's what the locals do. If you're not assertive, you'll become invisible if you need service or a table. Having some (even a little) Spanish will get you a long way, too. Dos Cana, por favor. Dos copa de Ribera, por favor. Una media de albondigas. You get the picture. The place was heaving when we came for dinner with no space at the bar or seats. But a brief, basic Spanish chat with a (very busy) waiter got us swift drinks (generous free pour) and a table as soon as one came free. He even told some locals to back off and the table was ours! One note. The place has two rooms. The front is basically tapas only - bar and table standing, the larger and more atmospheric back room has a bar and sit-down seating. I'd go front for lunch, back for dinner! Prices are very reasonable. RECOMMENDED.More

Went for evening tapas on our last night in Sevilla. Food was good; but we were unsure of our welcome. We will surely return to Sevilla, it is a beautiful and welcoming city; bur not sure we would return to this establishment.

This place is small and rapidly fills when it opens at 8pm - but it's worth it. We got there 10 minutes early and stood by the shutters forming our own queue. Others quickly gathered and the place packed minutes after opening. The tapas is...on a board (in Spanish) but the waiting staff were very helpful and suggested some typical dishes that we otherwise might have missed. The food is varied, delicious and very good value. The wine too was very good and reasonably priced. Don't forget to order a glass of Sevillian orange wine after your meal. Authentic, tasty food in a great atmosphere.More

One of the oldest, trad tapas bars in Seville. Back room is the most atmospheric where the menus were on large wine vats. Know your Spanish as it’s an interesting extensive tapas selection and I couldn’t get my WiFi to work. Wonderful place!

I’ve been to Seville many times but until now we never got the chance to visit here. It was always packed when we’d pass by. The barman is very friendly and engages with all the customers. I had a Sacristia Manzanilla. It was delicious and...is unusual for a Manzanilla. I was only familiar with the La Guita and Solear standards. I remarked on this, in halting Spanish to the barman, when I ordered a second one. He gave me a brief description of the process. Then he brought me a small taste of a regular manzanilla to compare. A nice touch. We enjoyed our drinks and some tapas, paid up and departed, vowing to return. Back at the hotel, I noticed that my manzanillas cost €6 each and the receipt listed them as “Don Zoilo”. The going rate for a decent sherry across the street in Diaz Salazar and elsewhere is no more than €4.30. Lesson learnt.More

Our son sought this out as it had been recommended. We can understand why. It was great. Fabulous atmosphere, excellent service despite it being very busy. Had 7 tapas between the 3 of us. Each one delicious. Cola de Toro was probably the star and...would recommend it. Prices very reasonable.More

Had just arrived in Seville from Madrid, and after a long day on the go, I was in the mood for something to eat. The night before in Madrid I had done a excellent Tapas tour, and it got me hooked on Spanish tapas (and...I mean the real stuff!!!! Not the small dish with two lumps of meat swimming in a sauce) and was delighted that this restaurant had most the ones that I had tried, and a number I had not. Freshly prepared in front of you, its easily the best Tapas restaurant in Seville that I visited and highly recommend. Was always busy whenever I walked past, but Tapas is designed for eating with a beer while standing at the bar,More

We went 2 times in Seville. Tourist and locals go. Quick tapas food was delicious! There is a sandwich with stew meat that was amazing! Also liked peppers with tuna!

I loved this place! The three waiters were super friendly and helpful. Not much English but we trusted them with some menu tips and enjoyed it all! We hung in the front bar which felt more authentic. Could have been there for hours if we...weren’t so full! Loved the pork with “cream” served on crunchy chips and the gazpacho.More

This is where the real locals go for their tapas. Everything is in Spanish but the food is definitely worth it. Plato de Cola de Toro - Plate of Oxtail Stew. It was delicious. We just watched as plates come out of the kitchen and...point to what we would like. Menu changes so might not have the same everyday. Iberico ham was delicious. The art of thinly slicing this is magical to watch live. The local atmosphere was buzzing and you can see the staff were all having a laugh and a good time. Anything with Plato means a plate of and Queso is cheese. Just get out your phone and translate. I had the sweet sherry that was perfect to our light meals. Excellent atmosphere with locals and a few tourist alike. Will definitely go back in the next few days that we are here. Love this place.More
