Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere. Prompt and pleasant service. Perfect place for lunch. We are only here for three days and tempted to come tomorrow!

Gracias to this fabulous place. The best tapas we have ever had. Such wonderful staff too. Must try the aubergine warm salad, the courgettes, the beef (yum!! Melts in the mouth) not to mention the baby squid. And indeed the rest of the menu! Enjoy...the food, people watch, pass the afternoon, go back for dinner !More

On our last evening in Seville we stopped at this restaurant and luckily only had to wait five minutes for a table to become free. The waitress was really attentive and helpful when asked about Gluten Free options. Between the three of us we shared...the meat platter which had four different types of meat on it and all full of flavor. I then had the grilled Octopus for main and the cheesecake for dessert. Overall this was a perfect end to our holiday. Every dish was great and the atmosphere and service of the bar is fabulous.More

They don’t take reservations so there is always a bit of a wait to go in, however, it’s never longer than 15 to 20 minutes. The food goes beyond tapas into truly creative and simply sensational cuisine. Flavor is bursting out of every bite. Highly...recommend the pork cheek stew. Everything on the menu can be done as a tapa or full portion. The tapas are very generous so choose several things and share with your dinner companions. Stands out in a city full of great food.More

Food and staff are absolutely incredible here. All the tapas was cooked to perfection. They missed off a dish of ours which we wasn’t bothered about as we aren’t a fussy couple we are very easy going we asked to take it off the bill...and we would move on but When the man realised they brought it over straight away and it was beautiful. They even gave us a free sangria on the house to say sorry for waiting so long and a free shot of lemoncello. They get so busy within this restaurant so You more than likely will have to wait for a table outside and you could be waiting a while but it’s so worth it for the experience. Thankyou to all staff for making our last night in Seville very memorable!More

A friend told us to go there, so we did. Came around 9 p.m., and put to wait because the place was packed. Atmosphere was good, waitresses flying around with smiles, so waiting was no problem. When we were seated, it was on the window,...two seats onside, two outside. We had fantastic jamon Iberico de bellota plate (so good we had another one :)), accompained with cheese selection plate. After that a calamari tapa and lamb/coucous tapa. Waitress helped us perfectly with wine selection. All in all a great experience!More

Great tapas and service. There is often a queue which is a good sign but not long to wait. Only downside was two separate nuisance people who wandered amongst the tables attempting to sing and begging. They were quite pushy, not very good and when...you’re seated at a restaurant you can’t walk away. I don’t think proprietors should allow them to do this. I love to see buskers and will happily drop money in their case/hat if I like their music but these were terrible and it would put me off eating in this area again.More

We were visiting Seville for the weekend. On arrival we happened upon another tapas bar literally 10 meters from La Bartola. The other Tapas bar was larger with plentiful outdoor seating. Turned out it was a bit of a tourist trap. Expensive for relatively poor...food. We then found La Bartola. Much smaller and less obvious, but we gave it a try (mainly beacuse of the TripAdvisor reviews). Loved it. The food was excellend (cheaper and tastier than the tourist trap cafe) and the staff were friendly.More

Four days wandering the eclectic sights and streets of Seville found us three days out of four stopping at La Bartola for a speedy tapas lunch. It was an excellent find. Extremely pleasant, friendly and efficient staff. Atmospheric and compact. Good tapas and a beer...or two. What's not to like.More

Absolutely amazing food & service. For our first meal in Sevilla, they set the bar high. The tapas were all perfect and we ate lots of it. The Salmorejo was a surprise hit. I've never had a lot of the dishes here and am in...love with so many new things. The anchovies, LA Bartola style, were delicous. The lamb & cous cous was stunning, the fried calamari was perfect, the iberico a nice balanced dish, and the chocolate panna cotta was the perfect finish to a perfect meal.More

Best meal we had in Seville at a very affordable price. We ordered half of the menu even with just 2 people. Everything were delicious and it was the best deal for dinner for what we got. The food were prepared with care and presentation...in mind. There was always a line every night but well worth the wait.More

This spot is great for some amazing tapas!! They are so cheap and light, so you can get a ton to snack on. Definitely a must-visit in Sevilla!

Coming to Seville I really wanted to make sure we had some tapas but being a vegetarian we found this a little difficult Bartola had some great options. The vibe of the restaurant was great, we had vegetables tempura sushi, cooked salad with eggplants, zucchini...stuffed vegetables and Thai red rice with vegetables! They were all really delicious and the service was great! Highly recommend visiting.More

No, but the turnover of tables is pretty fast so order a drink at the bar whilst you are waiting.

I suggest contacting the restaurant directly to inquire about their New Year’s Eve dining options, and whether they will be open for business that night. Good luck!
