You just can't go wrong here, full of local people, great simple food, we had a plate to share with various meats and cheese, wine by the glass was good although locals seemed to have heirs by the jug. Very friendly service with exceptional English. We will go to the shop just up the road to take some yummy stuff... More

Olegario and his son gave us the best experience you can imagine eating many kind of pinchos (or tapas, if you prefer). Great price, great food and excellent wines, and all that in a nice casual atmosphere. Nothing fancy but just plain honest food. Just the way we love it.

The place itself is basic, but authentic and full of locals. Ham is delicious. You will not find fancy decorated pinchos, but the little sandwich with excellent Spanish ham is possibly better while you deink your beer.

Reasonable prices, casual neighbourhood joint, a true jamon specialist. Very close by are several shops also called Claudio where you can buy jamon, there is one that's a restaurant where you can sit down and eat with some wines.

Came tonight and stumbled across this lovely vibrant place, very busy with local people, a great concept with good Spanish tapas with great wine and atmosphere. We had to have the amazing jamon iberico , so melt in the mouth , we had plenty, plus great chorizo, an anchovie and pepper salad and a great blue cheese , all washed... More

Above the door are the words "Feria del Jamon". The party of Ham! I was nonplussed by a bloke coming in asking if there was a vegetarian option for his wife. This place does ham, cheese & very affordable wine. Great efficient service, tables if you want, but the fun is by the bar. Don't go with airs & graces.... More

Half litre of local wine three euro and a selection of hams to die for , full of locals with a great atmosphere , at busy times you must take a number ticket from the bar as you are seated in order. A great stop as you make your way round the different bars

Don't come here for "designer" pintxos; what Claudio serves traditional Spanish fare: ham, chorizo, cecina, chistorra... all keenly priced and in fairly sized portions. Whenever in Bilbao, I will definitely go back.
