The Kafe Antzokia is in a converted cinema which does a menu del dia at lunchtime. We dropped in enroute to the Guggenheim (close by) for an early lunch. Unusually it is entierly staffed by women who clearly do everything. Sopa de Mariscos, Confit of duck and fancy ice cream. The sopa de mariscos was out of this world, i... More

Called in here at random as it's quite unobtrusive. Had a lovely meal on the balcony consisting of a great black squid risotto with squid cooked to perfection, followed by a delicious monk-fish main, finishing off with great chocolate mouse. All accompanied with water, bottle of wine (for the table of 2 people in our case) and bread included in... More

Lovely theatre/nightclub. Always really busy with a great atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced and portions are huge. Staff are friendly.

Really quirky, interesting setting in an old theatre with a lovely atmosphere. We had the menu of the day which was good quality and value for money. The place was jammed even though it was a week day - I would definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid hanging around. I would highly recommend this place.

We went there on a saturday night around 22:00 hours. We were the only one in the place but it looked stunning. We were very sorry that there weren't any band playing that night because it looked like a very good place to be staying all night.

Excellent value menu of the day. €12.50 each for 3 course meal with a bottle of wine. Fast service, but may have to wait for a table as very popular and great atmosphere.

I went to Kafe Antzokia while on a visit to Bilbao with friends. They weren't interested in going with me so I went solo to hear a live band (can't recall the name). The music was good, and the crowd was pleasant and diverse. At the end of their set, a live DJ started to play. I stayed for a... More

It has restaurant service at lunchtime, hosts many cultural activities, theatre for children, book presentations, conferences, a Basque language academy (Gabriel Aresti) and a community radio station (Bilbo Hiria irratia).
