I went for dinner 10 days ago and we had a lovely dinner (octopus, king prawns, anchovis, mushrooms, foie... And a big T-bone steak txuleton). All this with some great red wine from Rioja called Viña Olabarri. We will definitely go back :)

I booked through TripAdvisor and I presently in the Plaza Nueva wishing I wasn't hiccuping our disgusting meal. The staff are lovely, but aside from the first rice and mushroom starter...the rest of our meal was close to horrific and made us dearly wish we had gone to Amina (as we did last night and will be going tomorrow). Stuffed... More

It's hard to pick just one favorite thing about the meal. I'd have to say that the mushrooms were the top, but the shrimp was amazing, the potatoes phenomenal and you should I've look the cook-at-the-table Steak and Veal. Oh god the Veal was great. It was excessive amounts. Two "menus" would easily feed four, if your nervous order an... More

Hearty food, traditional decoration, nice staff. A little off the beaten torist track, but in a a very Bilbaino environment. Definitely not for tourists. Just locals ... and travellers!

Fabolous traditional food, served with extremely friendly stuff!!! Food was so delicious i would come back in this restaurant every week!! We have ordered 2 glasses of house red dry wine, beans and T-bone. That is already included in the menu so we decided to take a whole menu. First we got mushrooms, after that duck pate with jam. Bean... More

Lively neighborhood. Restaurant tables in a private setting . We were graciously welcomed and dismissed. Ordered fixed priced menu which turned out to be so vast in portions !! Bottle of wine included!!! Sauteed mushrooms/ white esparragus / foie/langostinos/and your own stove brought to your table to cook your chuleta . Dessert . Everything about this place was excellent from... More

My boyfriend and I did not manage to go to Arandia before our last day at Spain. Our flight left in the evening and we went to Aranida for lunch. We both ate a menu for 45€ with 4 courses. It was the perfect finish of our holiday. We had the best fish soup of our trip. Even my boyfriend... More

Had the 42eur menu and it was terrific - the starter was ok nothing too special, fish soup was very good (and plentiful!!! We had to leave some because they served us enough to feed 5!) and the steak was definitely the highlight - amazing!!!! (And also more than we could finish), dessert was the weak point (crime brûlée -... More

We booked this for a group of 8, finishing off a Stag do that had been in the Rioja region for a festival. It was the perfect end! Whilst it is located slightly out the way of the main town square and we ate inside, the service was great (fluent English which is rare in Bilbao) and the food simply... More

Second time to Arandia and not disappointed. Took the 50 euro menu again comprising black pudding and mushrooms, home made foie gras, white asparagus stuffed with vegetables in mayonnaise, lovely plancha cooked shrimp and then finally, the star of the show, Txuleton beef - 1.5 kilos of sirloin served on the bone which had been seared in the kitchen, served...
