6 of us had the tasting menu for dinner at Bodegon Alejandro in Old Town. The food was good, though service was sluggish. The price was right.

High expectations were exceeded when we enjoyed Sunday lunch at Bodegon Alejandro. A recommendation from our hotel, this Michelin rated small restaurant in the old town left our mouths watering for more of their typical Basque cuisine. We chose the tasting menu with matching wines, which included several local varieties as well as others from adjoining wine making regions. To... More

The food I ate here was, in my opinion, the best of my entire trip to the San Sebastián region - even compared to an actually Michelin-starred restaurant I ate at earlier. The staff were charming, especially our server who was very friendly and chatty. I had blood sausage to start, followed by the deer with risotto and then the... More

What a great experience. From the moment we entered this beautiful and cozy restaurant to the final cup of coffee, the bonus little cookies, meringues and Cava, we had an amazing time. The service was excellent, the food a real experience. I definitely recommend the fried artichoke appetizer and the French Toast dessert, but everything we ordered was well cooked,... More

This restaurant is pricy for lunch not the top one for dinner. Monkfish was the best I have every had, cooked regional way very tacty. Recomend for lunch, if you need to impress someone who is a gourme. Put it in your list when visiting San Sebastian.

Firstly I want to thank this restaurant for a perfect end to the perfect last night of our trip. We sat down and immediately and felt welcomed, the waitresses were tip top. Preserving the tasting menu along with the recommended wine menu, every stage was mouthwatering. Really really enjoyed every course, cooked to a very high standard, taste sensation. This... More

We ate here for lunch. It was definitely interesting. Pricey for lunch. I had the Cod pil pil, which is regional dish, my husband had duck. Both were delicious. We did not order the chef tasting menu, just al a carte. It was a good meal maybe not a great meal. We did watch a table next to us consume... More

I made reservations a day prior for lunch and am glad I did. Within 30-45 minutes after being seated, the room in which I was seated was fully packed. That said, I appreciated that there was plenty of elbow room and space between tables. My entire experience with the warm, inviting, friendly staff was 100% positive from my initial booking... More

We had the tasting menu for 46 euros, and wine-pairing for an additional 17.50 euros. This isn't cheap but it is very reasonable and good value for the quality, quantity and presentation of food- which are really at fine-dining standards. The lunch started with a complementary rich ham soup, bread. The tasting menu included really smooth fish, inspired deserts, beef,... More

We had an all-around great meal here. Jamon iberico and fish soup to start with - the jamon was amazing! The fish soup was good but not as hearty as we had at Ramiro in Lisbon. After that entrecôte (incredible!) and bacalao (very good). We would definitely come back here!
