We booked a table for 8 people for my 50th birthday. It was our second visit. I love this restaurant. The food was delicious and incredibly presented and the staff amazing. The restaurant decor is modern and relaxed and the chefs wandered around chatting to guests. Unfortunately we live in Australia so we may not return again but if I... More

Arzak was god, but not the best meal we had in San Sebastian. There are many other restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine without paying $300+. On the favorable side, I can say that staff was welcoming, open to making substitutions and friendly. The food was good, but not outstanding. Presentation was very interesting.

Booked months in advance with a confirmation of your booking required 1 week before. We visited Arzak as part of our wine and gastronomy tour through France and Spain. This was our first choice of a 3 star restaurant to complete our trip. The whole experience from the greeting at the door, taken through the menu with any suggestions for... More

We've had the tasting menu for lunch and we were completely satisfied. It was a bit pricey but it was worth it.

This was our annual gastronomic treat and we were not disappointed. We settled for the tasting menu and left the choice of wines to the wine waiter. Although the tasting menus was supposedly fixed, there was still a choice of substituting dishes with another on the menu, so it was easy to avoid uncooked fish or whatever was not to... More

Not sure what happened the day we were there, but our experience did not match that of many other reviewers. My husband and I went for a lunch reservation at Arzak in October with high expectations. The food was good, with some courses more interesting than others. The desserts are the most memorable to me; the square moon in particular... More

Creative and equisite food and very good service. Deserves its position among the great restaurants of the area. However, since it seems to be a converted residence, it doesn't have the majestic layout of other competitors in the area.

Went for lunch and had the degustation menu, it was the best meal of my life! I've had many good meals and this was the best ever. Presentation was first rate, not too far over the top. Some molecular cuisine touches, but they were not distracting from the food itself.... you could recognize the food. Service was smooth and efficient.... More

Everything was perfect, outstanding, the dishes, the staff, the quality of preparation, the recommendations of the staff including the Sommelier and the offer to take half dishes. The a la carte options guarantee a wide variety of choices... ideal if you are more than 2 guests. On a down to earth basis the creative interpretations of known tastes are convincing... More
