It is located in a very popular side of the city (the old town) where there are a lot of tourists. Nice decoration, friendly & English speaking personnel. Prices are low ( for tapas & wine ). Unfortunately we sat on the other site of the restaurant where are tables, as the bar was full (but all the energy and... More

Good morning. Thanks for sharing your review. We are glad you enjoyed the wine and the service. On the other hand, we would like to point that we have now remodeled the restaurant so that it is the same as the bar, with the same style of tables. Yo can now have the same food in both sides of the... More

We have been in Spain now for a week and eaten tapas/pintxos in Barcelona and San Sebastián , this place was the Macdonald's of Spain , overpriced , average food care factor zero shown by staff to tourists , disappointing given other unbiased trip advisor reviews. Went around the corner and spent half as much for 10 times the experience... More

We recently called into this traditional pinchos bar as a final late night pitstop on our way back to the apartment just down the street. We had Iberica ham (excellent), a cheesecake (nice but not as nice as Bar La Vina's) and a lovely apple slice washed down by two espressos. Crowded and happy with good food. We will go... More

Good place with a tapas bar on one side and a more formal restaurant on the other. We opted for the formal after it was recommended by a bartender in another joint as a good choice for fish. Waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food did not disappoint. Wine was good and cheap.

Although there is a large selection of pintxos in this very busy bar we instead opted to have a traditional Basque meal for lunch. With the assistance of a very helpful waitress I opted for a starter of kidney bean soup with chorizo sausage followed by a main of roast rabbit with potatoe washed down with a bottle of Rioja.... Classic tapas, with lots of hams hanging from the ceiling, as well as a beer pull shaped like a leg of ham. The food was classic tapas, with everything being freshly prepared, the smell of the baking bread infused the restaurant while we were there. Service was quite efficient. Wonderful way to try all the typical Basque pinchos.

We dined here in late June this year. The restaurant is in a sideroom off a tapa bar in the old city. The tapa bar looked very interesting but we had preferred a sit-down meal. We found the very busy proprietor in the tapa bar. He was attentive and seated us in the restaurant section in a timely manner. The... More

My husband and I visited on the recommendation from friends and it did not disappoint. The bar is casual and while there are tables, I'd recommend standing at the bar for the best experience. This place is all about the cured meat - from the shanks hanging from the curling to the beer tap, it's all about the jamon. Is... More
