Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have been here several times over the years. Special restaurant, hole in the wall feel and you know you are in a local gem of a restaurant, the kind of place you’d love to find when visiting a city. Excellent food and service, keep up...the good work guys!More

I have been to many restaurants in Palma. I would rate this as the best one I have ever been at. Amazing food, cozy atmosphere and great price.

Had a lovely meal here the food was amazing. When they knew we were not fluent Spanish speakers their waitress who spoke English went through the menu with us. All the staff were lovely and caring which complimented the food and enhanced the evening.

We were sat first in restaurant then 20 minutes later still had not come back for us. Meanwhile locales we’re being seated and attended to. We ordered salted cod and chicken meatballs. Cod was very rubbery and drenched in a pil pil saus but also...with an almost hollandaise type sauce that was not tasty. Ate 2 bites and that wa sa bite each for my husband and me. Same with chicken meatballs. Cancelled our dessert order. Also, they brought bread and a teeny cup of vergatble soup that we did not order but then charged us for it. Left full plates with not even an I’m sorry.More

We wanted to dine in central Palma one night during a stay at a nearby resort. After trawling the ‘best restaurants in Palma ‘ guides and attempting to book about three selections we managed to secure a table at Casa Maruka. What a marvellous result!...The staff were welcoming and the restaurant itself completely unpretentious. The food is excellent - we had the anchovies, mussels and carpaccio to start and the carpaccio was superb. One of us the had the Iberian slow cooked shoulder and the other the fish of the day which was an excellent monkfish steak. We rounded off with the apple pie - not strictly apple pie in the English sense but never the less this Iived up to all the other previous reviews so get it ordered! You won’t be disappointed. We also had one of the best bottles of white Mallorcan wines we have ever had. We booked a table for 8.30 and by 9.30 the restaurant was full with mainly locals so it is a good idea to book. Oh and not forgetting the bill - 105 euros and we thought they had undercharged us! If you are looking for somewhere to dine in Palma put Casa Maruka on your shortlist. Great food, great service and excellent value for such quality food and wine.More

When visiting Palma you’ll find many of the restaurants in the touristy areas, whilst delicious, do their own variations of tapas with the odd pizzeria thrown in. If, like us, you’re looking for something a little different, off the tourist track, we would highly recommend...this place. Do not be put off that they don’t do outside seating. The service and food was absolutely wonderful and for the quality of the dishes and wine the price is very reasonable. The T-bone steak and clams were insanely good.More

Nice place in Palma. The food was very good. I had the fish carpaccio which was well prepared and tasty. You need to take the dessert of the house, apple pie. It’s one of the best that I had in long time.

What a great evening, such great fusion of food. Brutal dishes: - large shrimp roll - deconstructed caneloni - tuna toast - scrambled egg with cod - and so many more we ordered

I love the food! I love the service! I love the athmosphere! This is the real thing. Located close to Plaza España, but light- years away from the typical tourist traps you find all over the city center.

This appeared to be a local favorite as my husband and I were the only tourists. Make a reservation because this small restaurant fills quickly. We had had two entrees, Venison, mushrooms and leeks were devine. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also had the Fish...and Octopus. Prepared with a yummy sauce and quite tender - it melted in my mouth. We finished up with a cafe con leche and a large cookie. My husband is celiac and they did a fantastic job with providing us with a gluetin free meal. Casa Maruka is a foodies must.More

This is by far the best restaurant I have tried on the island. As a lover of the medeteranian cuisine, this was a new experiance. Between the meals they spoil you with extra small interesting dishes.

The best place in the heart of Palma if you want to have a traditional meal. Everyone is very friendly from the moment you enter, they make you feel at home, On a week day you will find a mixed atmosphere, you will find tourists,...local business people, couples, but when you see a chef from other city havin lunch there you know you are at the right place. The meat, the sea food, the starters, all is fantastic. Great wine recomendations for the different wine pairing with the dishes, or just your your taste at the moment. The apple tart is a must, that you have to order the moment you enter because it takes 30 minutes to cook, but you have to have it.More
