We visited A ma Maison Saturday for lunch. It was an overwhelming positive experience. The moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the owner, who is also the chef. We were seated and served immediately. We have some mineral water and bread to start with.
After a few check questions about allergies, etc. the chef went into the kitchen and prepared our meal. At this point of time, we didn’t know what we would get to eat. :-) We were told that we should consider this as visiting a friend who had prepared a meal for us.
All the dishes were delicately prepared with spices from Tunisia and from the backyard of the chef. Everything we had were very tasty and also a pleasure for the eye.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and friendly, and we felt like being special guests.
Happy anniversary with the restaurant for more than a decade.

Chef Saloua is passionate about food and providing guests with the best experience possible.

A group of eleven of us just celebrated our Christmas dinner at A ma Maison and we had a delightful evening. The food was delicious, all miraculously prepared and served by Saloua, and she literally made us feel that we were in her home for dinner. We'll definitely return.

We have visited Saloua and A Ma Maison many times and think it is great. We arrived to a normal fantastic welcome. However Saloua had a surprise for us. She has created a four or five course surprise menu. No a la carte. She wants to create something for each person.
After discussing what we liked and do not like (she can cover vegan and any food requirements) she proceeded to provide us with the most enchanting food at drop dead prices. My wife does not eat shellfish or meat although I can eat anything. Fantastic plates of lovely flavoursome food.
I do not believe you will find anything in Palma or the island to match her skills, flavours and innovation for the price. Add in her charm and the quaintness of her restaurant then it is five stars.
Not to be missed. Superb.

Salua opened her restaurant privately for our group of 17, and we all had an amazing night! Such a welcoming host, and the food was spectacular. It was a surprise menu, and we tried things we normally wouldn't choose but everyone loved it. We had vegetarians, various intolerances and dislikes and she catered perfectly to us all. I definitely recommend visit here if you are in Palma, for a truly unique dining experience!

This is a real Gem. saloua, the proprietor, is a passionate Chef, always seeking to tempt the palate and provide a different taste, but never loosing sight of the ordinary diner. Group of 4 of us had lunch 1 had soup as starter, 1 had a mixed salad and 2 had torte. All very different and with subtle spices. Plates cleared. Should add that bread arrived with olives - marinated by the restaurant - along with alioli and harissa. Great combination.
Mains were 3 lamb (roasted with spices) and 1 barley, with vegetables done in coconut milk. Lamb was delicious and the vegan dish was good enough to be a main course on any menu.. Interesting desserts - cherry sorbet, chocolate mousse and apple pie. terrific. And, with wine, the cost for 4 was under 100€ saloua, is a very accomplished host and it is always like a private dining room rather than a restaurant. So good to be back again

The lovely owner works this homely restaurant entirely by herself. There is no menu and guests are cooked fresh meals with ingredients bought on the day. Each course is explained in detail. It is amazing that Saloua (Chef, waitress, host and kitchen assistant) can provide such a high level of service and cooking. The dishes are a combination of French, Tunisian and Majorcan with a perfect selection of wines to match.
There are only a few tables so booking is recommended. Definitely a must go to restaurant whilst in Majorca.

Visited A ma Maison with four friends for a birthday lunch… A visit long overdue because many people had recommended it, and I had heard good things.
On arrival at the restaurant in the heart of atmospheric Santa Catalina, A ma Maison is small, but well decorated and inviting. I liked the individual dining spaces, very funky and a perfect spot for small intimate lunch/dinner parties with friends.
We received a very warm welcome from the owner Saloua who, once we were settled, explained the home cooked menu thoroughly; we opted for the Menu del dia which was 13.50 for 2 courses or 16.50 for 3 including a glass of wine, water, bread, olives and dips!
Everything beautifully presented, the bread was super crusty and the dips were great… Vegan Alioli – nice! The wine was very good and a whilst I didn’t see a full wine list, what we had was lovely.
I had fresh sardines to start followed by Seabass with potatoes, spinach sauce and asparagus. A few of the girls had the Shakshuka which they thoroughly enjoyed, followed by delicious strawberry tarts, or fresh fruit. I believe there was also a vegan option for every course although none of us were vegan. Unlike a lot of other Menus offered at this price, there were no meagre portions, everything was well sized and cooked to perfection and very tasty with it.
The kitchen is visible to diners (nothing to hide) and it is spotless! Also, in these pandemic days, there was a discreet little hand sanitiser on the table which actually smelt lovely – fresh and not clinical. A nice touch.
The whole thing from start to finish was so good. I have lived in Mallorca for many years and this Menu del Dia stood head and shoulders above many. It reminded me of the places we frequented 20 years ago where you got the best food at street prices.
As a note aside, whilst Mallorca was locked down, Saloua put her skills to good use every day cooking for people in need here in Palma. This shows you what a great person she is and she deserves every continued success with A Ma Maison when Mallorca returns to normal.
Without doubt, this was the best Menu del dia I have had on the island for many years and I will most certainly be going back.

Fabulous Tunisian restaurant in Santa Catalina. Lovely mild flavoured food not 'spicy'. Menu for 16€, with choices for each course. Even the bread is served with an alioli variant and harissa which is so so tasty. The Chef/Host caters for all dietary needs because everything is freshly cooked. We had leek and potato soup and salad starter (Salad is very much not lettuce! ) Excellent. Filleted mackerel with rice and a moussaka were the mains. Tasty mmm! and lots of flavour. Dessert was home-made too - chocolate and coconut muffin, and apple cake. As good as they sound. Thank goodness saloua is open again. Missed her

Saloua, the proprietor, gave us a run down on the lunch menu, in doing so she coped with the dietary requirements of one of the group very well. We then had a terrific pumpkin and melon soup whic hwas amazing - flavour and texture of pumpkin first and then wow! the flavour of cool melon. I would dare anyone to try that at home!!! The other diner had grilled boccarones. He ate every last morsel, so I assume he enjoyed that. All three of us had a beef/lamb sausage casserole with beans. Our diner who had ate all of the boccarones couldn't finish his. We, other two, almost ended up licking the dishes!! Spicy yes, tasty, yes, and well balanced between comfort and flavour. Still thinking about it. Postre for the other two was ice cream, one with strawberries - but there were other choices, more exciting. The wines - 2 on white and 1 on red were lovely with the lunch. Looking forward to the 'surprise' evening meal soon. Just love this place. The food is excellent and if anyone of the group has particular requirements, there is no problem. I never have to think about that aspect when I take people. Saloua has an alternative for everyone.

This was a unique visit that has not been experienced before. The retaurer runs the one and alone and performs all the tasks of gold in stars. The form of energy I have never experienced. The food and service are genuine and magical. She runs research and makes food according to your wishes that becomes perfect. Best restaurant in Palma ever!!! You need time to experience the impressions. This is because a person works here. Recommended for anyone who likes food. The coffee/espresso can be better 😁😍, Nespresso ??

I had a wonderful experience for a belated birthday treat. An impromptu 'feliz cumpleaños' at the end of the fifth 'sorpresa' capped a marvellous meal. With the connivance of my partner, the host made this one of the best times I've ever had in a restaurant. Thank you!!

I had an amazing menu del dia with some of my favourite people on the island.
A Ma Maison is a very special French Tunisian restaurant in Santa Catalina near home.
I have never seen a person single-handedly take orders, cooks all the dishes, serve and clear away all while keep an immaculate kitchen by doing the washing up as she went along, that too with a smile!
The closest thing to my mother's cooking in a long time. I must make it back there with my husband. Already booked to go back there with my girlfriends in Jan 2022!

Saloua is both owner and cook in this very cosy restaurant. 18 seats and almost full for lunch! Food delicious and great service. The mix of French and Tunisian food is a real hit- can recommend and will be back!
