Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When your restaurant is inside the city market the food will be excellent?? Nope... Not at this Olivar pit. The paella is cold and extremely fishy. The service is rushed. The portions are extra small. The price is expensive. Booooo Skip this pitMore

I’ve had dinner with my friends here, really enjoyed it! We’ve been eating spaghetti allo scoglio, croquette rape and had some squid, and everything was amazing! Will come back when I’ll be in palma again :)

Very nice bistro in the same building as the Mercado Olivar. A new owner of the restaurant and the staff was really working hard doing their best to please the guests.

The menu is short but more than enough. Everything is delicious and fresh, straight from the market. Highly recommended.

A friend recommended me this place so I decided to take my mum for dinner here. We had homemade meatballs with fries (real potatoes) some "tumbet" and shared some cheese cake. Will definitely come back another time! Awesome treatment

Ignorant, rude service....the worst we have experienced in 15+ years here in Mallorca! Don't come here 😠 Staff do not greet you, but are happy to push past you. Appalling; we left as there are plenty of welcoming, friendly restaurants who appreciate your custom!

Gosh, Palma is full of lots of chain restaurants and probable tourist traps. We decided to go to the market area. We love markets and this one is stunning. Anyway tucked in the corner was this little restaurant full of locals. Menu was on a...blackboard and defeated our limited Spanish! Mr Google helped and then another waitress who spoke English explaining some other dishes. She was so proud of their food. We tried some things to share that we wouldn’t normally choose and had a really good lunch. Including a bottle of pink wine, water, bread, food and a good tip it all came to €40. If you want to get away from the busy town centre eateries we would thoroughly recommend this little place. Go early though or prepare to wait. Locals were good temperedly waiting with a glass of wine, others were turned away, but at no point were we rushed.More

Visited while on holiday and returned after another visit last year. The food and service was great, 5 tapas plus two large glasses of sangria for 28€. The tapas were excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Came across this busy eaterie on way to the cathedral. Waiter went out of his way to find us a table at a busy time. We had the the offer of Sangria, bread and aioli and a choice of five tapas for €25. The food...was excellent and service faultless in a lively part of old Palma. Highly recommended.More

Went to see the market, which was a bit quiet as it was the holidays and found this excellent modern cafe in one of the corners. We were the only tourists there, and it’s obviously a regular stop for locals. We ate three tapas -...a russian salad, crispy fried calamari, and roasted eggs with crispy chips all delicious and good size portions washed down with a glass of crisp local white wine, and with fizzy water the bill was under 25€. Recommended.More

A bit nonchalant reception, who would place family of 4 by the counter- but agreed to Seat us in sofa upon request. A Very Nice food experience- seabass with Tasty ratatouille, and langustino with fresh salad. The white wine recommended was terrific. Not so good...acoustics- bad for people with low hearing.More
