We both really enjoyed the experience, it was fun chatting to the other guests as we cooked. It’s cooking for couples (or individuals) and the instructions are clear and easy to follow, ingredients were great and you get to eat what you cooked at the end. We chose the paella negra with shrimp and calamari, it was excellent! The experience comes with a glass of wine, dessert and a digestivo, it’s great value and we would do it again, no hesitation. They have a lovely courtyard where all the ‘cooks’ eat at the end, it’s a really enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours

The evening cooking with Elena & Alex as well as 2 other couples was just perfect. As we were the first ones to book the experience on that day, we could choose which dish will be cooked. We decided to cook a traditional Paella. Alex gave a brief introduction into the concept and how the evening will go. Then Elena took over and guided us how to cook the Paella. While cooking, we had a glass of wine. The Paella was just delicious and we enjoyed it in their really nice little backyard. After the experience, Alex and Elena sent us some photos they took during the evening as well as the recipe to have a little souvenir. I can only recommend to spend an evening at the Cuk-Cuk when you visit Menorca. It was perfect!

An amazing concept: prepare and cook your own dish and eat it afterwards!
We arrived at 1 pm, as requested, and found well-prepared cooking stations for each couple. Step by step we were explained by Helena, the owner and her husband Alejandro, how to make a CALDERETA. This is a kind of sea food stew, a speciality of Menorca.
The credo was to have fun and really learn how to prepare the caldereta properly. This went that far, that I was told how to use the Vegi knife properly. I was amused, Helena did not know, that I come from the same business, so I played fairly and followed instructions. What followed were the details of HOW to make a proper Caldereta and this was the amazing part. Being at ease with a nice glass of Verdejo from Rueda, it was fun to learn, how long a chilli had to be inside the paella pan and when to put the mussels in and when the shrimps. As I always thought my students and employees in my hotels, it matters to be precise and follow recipes.
This day I was a student and not being used to follow precise orders, I learnt again that it really matters, if you you put 5cl olive oil or 10 cl.
To wrap it up, the whole cooking of the caldereta needed two hours and the result was just amazing. My wife and me could claim that we made it ourselves, but in fact, it was Helena, who told us step by step how to do it. Details, how to make an amazing sea food caldereta, I spare you, go there and experience it yourself. But reserve before hand as there are limited places available. We were one amazing week in Menorca, had several times seafood dishes, but this was by far the best.
The concept of Helena and Alejandro is the concept of the future. Let me tell you this as a seasoned (retired) hotelier. Fun, no behavioral "musts", passion of excellence and hosts, who live what they believe.
Helena & Alejandro, we had an amazing time with you and if back in Menorca, we will first visit you, before doing anything else.
BTW for all my readers: This experience is available for less than 40 Euros per person!

Me and my girlfriend booked into cuk cuk for one of the nights on our holiday to menorca with a taste of what they do on their social media accounts. We were welcomed into their lovely property and took the trip into their terrace at the back to have a drink. We were the only English couple in the group but the hosts made sure that both Spanish and English was offered in their masterclass to make us feel very welcome.
Once cooking we realised the ingredients used were fine quality and prepped perfectly for us to use.
All the way through the experience the hosts were great at providing everything we needed including some of the best sangria we have tasted and some local menorcan cheese as snacks!
Once the food was made we enjoyed it from the paella pan in the terrace with the other families and couples and it was delicious!
Such an amazing experience and would recommend this cooking class to anyone, no advanced cooking skills needed!

Did not know what to expect when we booked this cooking experience but we were blown away by it.
Alex and Elana made us feel very welcome and the 2 hours that we spent cooking our Menorcan fish stew just flew by.
The quality of the ingredients was second to none.
The highlight of the evening was eating our meal with the other couples who had also been on the course.
If you’re in Menorca and you fancy doing something a little different id highly recommend you come here

Spent a great two or three hours preparing and eating a wonderful seafood paella. So informative, Alex made preparing a top notch 'professional', retaurant quality meal so easy and then served it in a beautiful little courtyard garden with wine and beer! Fantastic. Great ingredients, spotlessly clean and lovely traditional building.
Very reasonably priced, would highly recommend!

Such an amazing evening!
My wife and I were in a cooking area with two other lovely couples from France and Fuerteventura and we had such a laugh. We all cooked the local fish stew whilst consuming copious amounts of wine; thankfully Alex and Elena, our wonderful hosts, made sure we remained on track! We then joined the other guests in the gorgeous courtyard to enjoy the fruits of our labour, more wine and a delicious local dessert.
Booking is essential and I would suggest booking well in advance, drawing on a range of dates to get the meal that you want. Everyone cooks the same on the evening but there are a range of meals on offer. The first party to choose a date gets to choose the meal option. That said, all options look amazing.
Alex and Elena work so hard to make sure you have a fantastic experience; I can’t recommend it enough!!

Cooking the paella with Elena and Alex has been a truly extraordinary experience. The couple has been great in creating a wonderful atmosphere in their house, both in the kitchen and in the patio outside (where dinner is served). The two are absolutely complementary in the experience, Elena with her great skills in cooking and Alex in welcoming the guests at his best.
Also, all ingredients are specifically selected by the Host and their quality is extraordinary.
One suggestion: if you visit CukCuk during hot periods make sure to wear light clothes, the temperature is pretty high in the kitchen!
Overall, an experience you MUST try!

We had a great time on a Cuk-Cuk cooking experience!
On a 10 day holiday in Menorca, we found ourselves only staying a couple of miles away so decided to try their cooking experience.
Elena and Alejandro were superb hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Their restaurant is quite homely and comfortable, with a lovely open air courtyard.
We shared the experience with 3 other couples and a group of four, who were all from other parts of Europe. That didn't matter to our hosts who we're able to communicate seamlessly with everyone!
After a drink at our table in the courtyard, we we're allocated a cooking station (one for each couple). All the ingredients for the dish we were about to cook were ready, and just need us to finish a bit of prep before the pans were warmed and cooking started.
The dish we all cooked that night was Menorcan fish stew. Needless to say, with their experience and expert guidance, we all spent the next hour or so getting the high quality fish, seafood, and vegetables prepped properly and cooked well!
Engaging with the other couples and our hosts made it a fun evening, especially when lubricated with a glass of wine or two from the bar!
We were all salivating at the fantastic aromas floating around and the little tasters we were having as we cooked and really looking forward to diving it!
When it was ready, we all took our seats back in the courtyard and the food was brought through to us, also with some bread and rice, as is traditional.
Did we do a good job? Yes! Every mouthful of the lightly paprika fish stew was savoured, and messy fingers from shelling the prawns were licked!
Desert of ice-cream and Menorcan biscuits followed, which finished off the meal perfectly.
Highly recommend this experience!
Suitable for all cooking abilities.
Muchas gracias, Elena and Alejandro x

The best meal my partner and I enjoyed during our one week holiday in Menorca in July was, without doubt, the one we cooked for ourselves under the watchful eye of Elena and Alejandro at Cuk-Cuk.
On a warm evening we joined other couples and families learning how to make an authentic Valencian paella in this lovely little ground floor restaurant, tucked away in a charming Ciutadellan backstreet.
It was a truly memorable night - definitely one of the highlights of our holiday. Since returning to the UK we've purchased a paella pan and used it twice, following Elena's recipe each time.
For a special night we highly recommend the wonderful Cuk-Cuk!

This is an absolute must if you are visiting Ciutadella. The location was beautiful, the hosts were so welcoming and kind, and the food was spectacular. It was a very special experience to be taught how to make paella properly by locals! There was plenty of delicious fish that went in and we also got a large sangria and desert including in the price. Absolutely worth it. Will be recommending to everyone!

We cooked Seafood Caldereta, which was a lot of fun, a good learning experience and tasted delicious.
Cooking takes place in the lovely kitchen of Cuk Cuk and meals are eaten in the lovely garden. It is great to get a chance to chat to others in the group while cooking.
Suitable for those who are travelling solo or up to a group of a dozen or so.

if you want to meet other people visiting Menorca in a wonderful atmosphere, that's the right thing to do. Elena ad Alex are perfect host, very kind and that make you feel a guest in their house. The location is a typical Menorca house, really cozy and lovely. You will also learn how to cook the paella and have the pleasure to eat it at the end. I would give 6 green dots to this place, but only 5 are available...

A really fun way of enjoying an evening meal. Relaxed lesson in how to cook a meal (paella in our case) and some laughs whilst doing it. A lovely little area very well set up for up to 12 people to cook a meal together and eat it afterwards. Elena and Alejandro were superb hosts who prepared everything very efficiently and explained what we needed to do. All the while topping us up with drinks as we went along. Highly recommended experience.

You HAVE to do this if you are staying in or near Cituadella. It is run by the lovely Elena and Alex who are warm and welcoming. Alec takes you through the steps of cooking the dish (we had Paella) and guides you through tips and techniques to make the dish perfect. Afterwards you sit in their courtyard enjoying the meal, accompanied with drinks of your choice and desert.
