Two Dinners and one lunch in the 36 hours we spent in Burgos. And it was a wrench to leave. The owner and staff were friendly and painstaking in getting our orders right so no one would get contaminated. The wines, too, were excellent. The menu choices range from inexpensive up, so no need to leave an arm and a... More

Very impressed with the quality of the meal and the restaurant while in Burgos for the day. The location is perfect, right by the cathedral and good value too. For 29e per person, we had a starter plate each of crispy morcilla, chorizo sausage , roasted red peppers and ham, all very good and delicious, served with bread, water and... More

We almost didn't go in. Not much to look at but great views of amazing cathedral. In shade too. Bread started well. 4 different kinds automatically brought. We then had two tapas to start which we shared. Plenty each. Blood sausage with pimento was truly tasty. More like oaty haggis than blood sausage. The next tapas was declared one of... More

We checked out Puerta Real because of its listing in the Michelin guide and because it was an easy walk from our hotel. The menu looked interesting so we reserved for that evening. There was a long table of local people celebrating a First Communion but we did not find the large group annoying, and in fact, it was rather... More

Burgos is great for lamb and we chose this restaurant due to its positive reviews. After booking specifically for lamb, turning up and drinking some beers, surprise!, more people than expected had shown up and roasted lamb was over. We were offered cod instead of lamb. Annoying untrustworthy establishment located too close to the touristic centre that they don't care... More

Went as part of a tour group and it was fine, staff did all they could to ensure we werecall OK. Meal was pre-ordered so no problems with service. Wine was quite reasonable and there was a good atmosphere in our group, down in the lower dining room.

We had a business dinner and the menu was chosen for us. We sat downstairs where there is a cellar. Service was good and the food chosen was excellent.

Can here as part of a package holiday, so not normal service, and had an enjoyable time. Food was tasty and filling, wine was not too badly priced.

This place came recommend to some new Camino friends. The prices were a little higher than we expected but it turned out to be so worth it. The lass that served us was on her game. A couple of us split a plate and the plates came out already divided and with complete detail in the presentation. Bummed I didn't... More
