The flavours were just incredible, every plate was excellent. The service was awesome, I asked them to put candles as it was my friend's birthday and they were ever so helpful! Would definitely recommend Don't miss out on the salad with goats cheese and the chocolate and olive oil dessert Will definitely be back

Salamanca has lot of good restaurants, but most follow a traditional pattern and when you want to get away from that pattern, El Alquimista is the right place to go. Not because they offer 'nouvelle couisine', but rather because they have what a new generation should take into account when opening a restaurant: love for the land and open-minded mentality.... We went to this restaurant due to Trip Advisor recommendations. We were the only table there as we sat down at 9.15pm. The waiter was polite but not friendly. The menu was in Spanish only and when we asked if there's any English menu the answer was no. We had trouble understanding the menu since the font was hard to... More

First of all, this restaurant would do really well no matter where it was located. As it turns out, there are probably better places in Salamanca, El Aquimista is a bit off the beaten track, but that is not an issue for us. Find it and I am sure you will enjoy the food, but don't expect a translation from... More

Even if it is located in a residential area of Salamanca, this restaurant is really good. The food is original and delicious (tuna tataki e.g.) and the value of money, unbeatable! The service was very nice and the terrace, settled on this little plaza, pleasant. A great discovery !

The Food was very good, we had salmon tartar and solomillo of beef, everything was really very well prepared with high quality products. The atmosphere was quite charming.. The service was equally good.. We were happy and recommend it. Btw they have aircondition which is important in summer !!!

The reviews that praise this restaurant are absolutely on the mark. From the charming but "industrial" ambience to attention to small details like choice of paper for the menu, presenting the bill, the background music....the food! Using the many resources of Spanish cuisine this chef's salmon tartare with slices of citrus in a bed of creamy yoghurt and bits of... More

I have been there several times since it's a nice and cozy restaurant with friendly staff and very good food. They have a very good option on weekdays, which is a closed that it's actually very good value for money. Besides, you have several dishes to choose in a normal menu, which has an acceptable price/quality ratio. In summer, eating... More
